"This place was super cute and you can tell it was recently updated. The room itself is super clean, stocked with all the goods you would find in a larger hotel and check-in/out is quick & easy. It doesn’t seem like it, but this place is walkable to the downtown Aitkin stretch (roughly 30 minute walk). we were able to check out some cute shops and grab a bite from a cute local spot. "

One of the highlights of our trip was hiking up to the Sandy Lake Fire Tower, which offered an unforgettable view of the surrounding nature.As an East African family, this type of retreat isn’t something we grew up with, but staying here allowed us to create new traditions together.
