First off, this is a very pretty property. It does have a lot of stairs so be aware of that if you have anyone with you that has trouble with them.
It was great having private beach chairs as we never had to fight for beach space. The bar on the deck was great for morning sunrises with coffee! The views are amazing. The kitchen had everything you could need, but is EXTREMELY small. Two people cooking in it is too much. That brings me to the rest of the negatives.
To be a house that sleeps I think it was 28, the common spaces are just not compatible with that.
There is one living room with one small sectional. You could maybe fit 7 on it touching each other, and there’s one small arm chair. The kitchen table seats either 8 or 10. Some of us had to sit outside for everyone to sit at once comfy. That includes using the couch, chair, and dining table. The downstairs has 2 regular bedrooms, and one large room with a bunch of bunk beds which was nice for all the kids, but it was SOOO HOT down there that they were miserable. They say you can’t turn the thermostat below a certain degree or it freezes up or something to that nature. So we had to put 3 floor fans in there for them to be able to sleep, and one in each of the other two rooms. They were still hot. The rest of the bedrooms upstairs were great and a great size. There’s one on the main level, and 2 upstairs. The master upstairs that faces the ocean is fantastic! It’s huge, and has so many windows. The shower is kind of small, but it’s ok.
The other upstairs bedroom was a little dated furniture wise, but nice. The only negative is it has a small rectangle window above the bed, and the sun blazing in at 5:30 in the morning wasn’t necessarily fun. There are no curtains or blinds to do anything about it. We had a good time, but with only 15 of us in a house advertised for 28, there just wasn’t enough room. The last negative is that the check in time is so late at 5:00. We drove by multiple times during the day and someone was there cleaning. At 10 til 5:00 we parked across the street and waited because they were still there. At 5:10 we finally walked over and asked the guy, and he said the owner had shown up, and “whenever she comes it takes forever because she always wants to change stuff and redecorate”
Not the time for redecorating! It ended up ready at 6:00. All in all, it’s a nice house, but not for a lot of people due to the small common areas, hot downstairs, and late check in.
