Solitude at Rock Creek, Quigley MT

  • Looking for a peaceful, quiet rural haven? Stay at the cabin on Brewster Creek, which is just a few minutes drive from Rock Creek, and approximately 40 minutes from Missoula. Listen to Brewster Creek running alongside the cabin, sit on the patio and look out over the meadow keeping an eye out for the Big Horn sheep herd wandering by. Walk for miles in the surrounding hills or fly fish in Rock Creek , a blue ribbon trout stream. Children and families are welcome.
    The cabin has a spacious master bedroom with a king size bed and includes a sofa-sleeper, a small open loft above it and a large bathroom. The second bedroom, with a queen bed, has its own bathroom. The sleeping loft is above the living room and is suitable for children or extra guests. The loft has a queen and a twin mattress in it. The comfortable living room also has a screened in porch alongside ready for outside dining. Sit and relax on the patio listening to the creek gurgling by.
    Explore the area including world famous fishing at Rock Creek, the lively city of Missoula, the ghost town of Garnet, the sapphire mining town of Philipsburg and the countryside around you.

Great cabin to use for fly fishing Rock Creek

Very nice stay for a group of 4 fly fisherman. We saw some great wildlife including the big horn sheep, ospreys, eagles and even one mountain lion (from afar). The place was very comfortable and in a quiet and peaceful setting.

Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed our time at the Cabin very much. The cabin worked out great for our stay. We did not do any fishing but it would have been perfect for that. The scenery was incredible and enjoyed seeing the wildlife. We saw Bighorn sheep every day we were there. Carole was a great host and was very responsive to any questions or needs that we had. A great time.

Relaxing stay on Brewster Creek

We often stay at cabins when visiting MT. Solitude at Rock Creek did not disappoint. Great cabin in the mountains. Everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped. Clean place. Loved the Brewster Creek running along the property. It was a great place to relax and visit with family and friends. Close enough to Missoula. Spent a day cheering on our daughter and others at the Missoula Marathon.

Everything you could possibly need. The lot is beautiful. The sound of the stream running was soothing. There were four of us and we had plenty of room to stretch out. Beds were super comfortable. No cell service, but the WiFi works great. I could go on. Make sure to bring food and drinks. Grocery stores and restaurants are a little bit of a drive.

Fishing trip on Rock Creek

This is an extremely nice cabin right in the heart of access to Rock Creek. We went for a five day fishing trip and were able to find many spots along the river to fish before the traffic on the river increased during the day. The cabin was very clean and was outfitted with pretty much everything you would need. It even included thoughtful additional touches like phone chargers and maps of the area. There was a major windstorm that knocked out power to the whole valley on our second day there. Carole was very responsive and made an effort to communicate with us and the power company despite us not having cell service and disabled wifi. Some of the neighbors also checked in with us. The gas fireplaces still worked as did the propane grill so we stayed warm, were able to cook dinner, and used candles for light. It ended up being a very enjoyable stay at this lovely cabin despite the loss of power. Luckily the power was restored on the last night so we could have some hot showers before heading home. Even though it was totally out of her control, she even offered us a future stay in the cabin which we will gladly accept! Thanks to Carole for letting us stay in your cabin and enjoying the beauty of Rock Creek.

we enjoyed staying at this quiet property.the master suite is spacious with a very comfortable bed and couch, walk-in closet, and two bathroom sinks. water was hot with good pressure. the TV streaming and WiFi was reliable, even during thunderstorms.the small screened porch (not shown in listing pics) was a nice surprise, and provided a great spot to read and relax while listening to the burbling of Brewster Creek right outside. there was no fishing for “Timmy the Trout” in Brewster Creek. however, the fishing along Rock Creek was outstanding… he caught and released dozens of brown, rainbow and cutthroat trout.Clinton has a nice gas station/store with a surprisingly good selection of gluten-free, alpha-gal safe options including fresh produce and eggs. we really didn’t need to drive into Missoula.Montana is beautiful, and we hope to visit again! thanks for sharing your lovely home!

Carole is a wonderful host with great communication. The property is GORGEOUS and well appointed. The washer and dryer and full kitchen setup along with the WiFi make it downright luxurious. I absolutely felt at home. Dreamy time and a super reset for my soul!
