"Location is perfect!!! Building is vintage and charming. Rooms as okay, beds were small. We got the twin room. It was clean! Breakfast was lacking. But take your coffee outside and sit on the Adirondack chairs and look at that beautiful lake."

"This is a cute, clean and comfortable cabin nestled in the woods and a very short walk from the edge of Oxbow Lake. The fishing is terrific and you’ll fall asleep to the sound of loons on the water. Susan is very communicative and extremely helpful. The cabin’s kitchen is well stocked with many utensils and good cookware. There really isn’t much you need to bring. There are plenty of linens, soaps, and storage bags.This is a great value and it makes for a very relaxing getaway. I would definitely recommend it to anyone."

"The room was very clean. There was no AC, fridge or microwave. We came prepared with a cooler and items that didn't need to be cooked. The nights were cool and we were gone most of the time so the AC was not an issue for us. The TV didn't work as well but we brought plenty of reading items and spent time out of the room doing other things. Gore mountain is nearby and the small town area (which has a rail trail and a grocery store) was about a 7-8 minute ride. The host was excellent. They were short staffed but she managed to run the hotel, including cleaning, all by herself. There's slim pickings for hotel rooms around the Gore Mountain area. This one worked out perfectly for us since we were hiking Gore Mountain which was only about 5 miles away. "

"This was nice for a short getaway in the woods. Bonus points for allowing us to bring our dog. It was our first time "glamping". The place is clean, remote and exactly how it was described. It was just not our thing."
