"Don't worry about the road condition (a bit pot holed and worn) or the slightly difficult to find hotel entrance, the stay was great. The room was large and immaculately clean. "We really enjoyed this idyllic spot, just on the edge of town. Ceglie is known for amazing restaurants and didn’t disappoint and also close enough to beaches, and other towns of interest. Sleeping in the trullo was peaceful and the rest of the home was all we needed. Modern bathroom with shower, and kitchen. Washing machine was helpful. It is a quiet spot - if you are looking for action, noise and nightlife, this isn’t it. The wifi worked for us, slightly spotty, and we were able to watch movies on our phones. The host is great, very responsive to enquiries, and knowledgeable about the area."

"I would give 10 stars if it were available! The property is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We stayed in a trullo which was perfection. It was beautifully equipped with everything we needed and all high-quality and very tasteful. The owner is so kind and makes you feel right at home. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer (we stayed two nights.) a lovely breakfast is included. which included lovely, pastries, , fruits,, yogurts, meats, cheese, and the possibility of egg dishes. The location is idyllic, about 15 minutes outside of Ostuni, making it convenient, but outside the bustle of the city, but not remote. The gated property felt very secure, yet we could come and go at will. In Short, we felt lucky: and privileged to have found this perfect place to stay. One hint: to reach the property, using GPS, use the name of the property, Feudi Mandolivo, and it should guide you straight to the gate. Do not use the address, as that will take you to the wrong location. ,"

Beautifully restored late 18th Century Trullo, close to Cisternino and Ostuni

"We had a lovely stay in this beautiful trullo in mid May, which has been carefully and cleverly restored. It does have indoor and outside sitting space whichx, outside the hotter months, means you can be cosy on cooler evenings. It is located in a very private quiet rural area, but still only 10 minutes or so to drive into Cisternino, a very unspoilt but authentic town in the lovely Itera Valley which has a very good selection of restaurants. The location is perfect both to enjoy lovely walks such as along the nearby aqueduct where the wild flowers and flowering Robina trees were just beautiful. Or visit lovely coastal beaches (about half an hour away and almost empty in May), or take longer trips to iconic sites such as Lecce or the Castel Del Monte.The owner, Richard, and the local agent were both easy to contact and quick to respond with any queries. The photos on the Vrbo site are accurate and the Trullo is well equipped. As Richard said, he is trying to equip the Trullo with everything you might need so it was like a home from home. The Wifi works well, so while the trullo is off the beaten track, you can still be in touch with the wider world when you want to be.Very happy to recommend this Trullo and many thanks to Richard and Pierdonarto"
