Time Honored Adobe Home - Sweeping Ocean View.

Majestically situated on Point Lobos Ridge, this home offers the most incredible white-water and ocean views of Carmel and Pebble Beach imaginable. The home is positioned to take advantage of the natural wonders of the central coast. Experience being perched high above the fog most days. Sunrises and Sunsets are 360 degrees and Carmel Village lights up the night below as the fog thread’s it’s way through the Valley. Thousands of acres of California State Parks open space surround the property, with oceanfront hiking at Point Lobos State Park at the entrance to the road leading to the property. Vast open space precludes distraction, creating an abundance of stars and planet viewing.

You will walk into a time honored original Post Adobe home which was recently restored to it's original condition.

Enjoy the warm of 80 year old first growth redwood post & beam construction. Original mahogany ceiling planks provide a wonderful contrast to the open beam ceiling.

The Chef's appointed kitchen and Freestanding, original adobe fireplace can be the perfect place to add warmth and texture to your vacation stay.

An open floor plan provides plenty of room for good conversation and relaxing. The Kitchen, dining and living areas are all open as part of the great room experience.
We will do everything possible to make this a memorable experience that will endure a lifetime.

We own and operate our home in compliance with Monterey County requirements. The taxes included in the amount you paid when reserving our home are forwarded to the Monterey County Tax Collector under. Certificate No. 000613

Great Christmas stay

A beautiful home to stay in, in all weather, set in extraordinary landscape of sea forests and wildlife . We had a wonderful family Christmas , great cooking , open fires in the evenings and walks along the coastal paths and beaches.

Beautiful views of Carmel-by-the-sea and Carmel Valley. Location somewhat inconvenient due to a 2 mile uphill winding narrow road that is in disrepair. Quiet and secure.Mattress rather soft. Took 2 dogs and yard not fenced so had to be on a leash when outside.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The views were even more appealing than the listing can do justice to. We really enjoyed being inside and outside while we were there and taking in all that Carmel and the surrounding areas offered. Lou was great to work with throughout the process. This property has the most stunning views of the peninsula! House was very clean, cozy and well stocked. Would definitely stay again. A bit of a drive uphill 1.8 miles but views totally worth it.

This house feels LOVED!

This is a lovely house, with a great kitchen for cooking! Also the bathroom is so nice, with heated floors and bidet, quite a step up from your typical short term rental. Lou was very responsive whenever I had a question. It’s in a beautiful location but it is a bit of a drive to get up there (price to pay for peace and quiet and a view!), just so people are aware.

Heaven on earth! Looking out I loved seeing the ocean to the left while my husband enjoyed the mountains to the right. We were so comfortable and the views so special that we were never in a hurry to leave. The pots of plants inside and out added an extra touch.

Lou’s house just never disappoints! It’s our second stay and we loved it! The kids love it. The location is fantastic and warmer than in Carmel. House is clean and wonderful to star gaze as there’s no light pollution. The fans worked well to cool the sleeping rooms down. It makes for an unforgettable get away!

We wanted peace and quiet and that is what we got. Nice kitchen and BBQ and plenty of fireplace wood. Good location in the hills. Grocery stores nearby. Enjoyed scenery and visiting wineries. Hope to return. Thanks again.

Unbelievable view!

We had a wonderful stay at this house. The furnishings are simple but comfortable. The best part is the 180 degree views from the house overlooking Carmel. Our other favorite part was the fireplace in the living room. It is a 10 minute drive to a Safeway and restaurants. Would def stay here again!

Stunning views - didn't want to leave!

What an absolutely stunning adobe. We loved the fire, the chefs kitchen and the whole lay out. The sweeping mountain and ocean views are so spectacular that we didn't want to leave. We also loved drinking coffee on the bench in the mornings listening to the birds sing. Already planning when it's possible to return.

Dreamy Carmel Escape

Quaint with amazing views. We enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and the patios around most of the property. The rosemary was blooming and a friendly lizard came out daily to enjoy coffee with us. Super bonus was that we were above the fog most of the time and enjoyed watching it roll in and out. The road way up is long and winding so glad they warned us ahead of time.....it was worth it:)

Felt like I was on Cloud 9. This is definitely the place to go to relax and enjoy the true beauty of God’s creation. And at the same time, shops and great restaurants were a mere 10 minutes away. This home is well equipped with lots of nice upgrades. My favorite being the heated bathroom floors. The owner is quite responsive and a really nice guy.

Very special adobe

This property is an old restored adobe with all the extra's as written up including an amazing kitchen that I chef would love. The views are spectacular since the property is a 2 mile drive up. Lou is truly a SUPER HOST and is always available if needed and does all he can to make the stay a truly amazing vacation. We love this special place and this is our 3rd year returning.

Lovely Stay at a Lovely Home

This is our second stay at the Adobe Home high up on the hill above Point Lobos and Carmel-by-the-Sea and we can't wait to come back. The beautiful old post home is secluded and surrounded by parkland; all the peace and quiet you could ask for. As other reviewers have mentioned, the home has world-class views of Carmel Bay, Carmel Beach, Pebble Beach and beyond. Even when the fog covers the views, the cozy home is a perfect place to build a fire, cook a meal in the great kitchen, relax, and celebrate with friends and family (and dogs!)

Perfectly perched relaxing stay

Carmel and the Monterey Bay area is a world-class destination and this property was perched perfectly to look down on the world-class beauty of it all! So much to do: great hiking everywhere to include Big Sur and its magic, beach walking, whale watching, wonderful restaurants and walking the beautiful town of Carmel. So much to NOT do and just stay on property and relax. We enjoyed a couple days going nowhere and appreciating the incredible views. The house is wonderful and comfortable with a great fireplace and chef-centric kitchen outfitted with everything needed to prepare gourmet meals. Everything was perfect and we can't wait to return!

Best trip ever

We traveled here for vacation from Kentucky and had the absolute best trip to California. This house is just amazing and the views cannot be beat! The windows all throughout the house were so nice to be able to still enjoy the outdoors while we were cooking, etc. The kitchen was so nice and my husband is already ordering the same espresso machine:). We are all so sad to leave, but hope to come back to this magical place. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!!
