Gorgeous property. Full of history. Great location to explore the Tuscan countryside. After staying in Florence this property was a breath of fresh air!

Il Castello è molto caratteristico e in un’ottima posizione. Abbiamo trovato l’appartamento pulito e con tutto il necessario x viverci. personale reception gentile e disponibile. funzionale la piscina. nota negativa la presenza di molte zanzare e l’assenza di zanzariere e aria condizionata con relativa sofferenza notturna.

Ein altes Schloss mit allen Vor- und Nachteilen

Sehr schönes, stilvolles altes Gemäuer mit tollen Ausblicken und geräumigen Zimmern, die leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind. Die Beleuchtungssituation in den gebäudebedingt nicht sehr hellen Zimmern ist ebenso unbefriedigend wie die Austattung der Küche. Dort war z.B. in einer Wohnung mit drei Schlafzimmern nur 1(!) Weinglas vorhanden und auf unsere Bitte an der Rezeption, uns 3 weitere zur Verfügung zu stellen, erhielten wir zunächst die Mitteilung, das gehöre nicht zur Ausstattung (in der Toskana!?), dann aber doch den erbetenen Nachschub. Der Pool ist schön und die Lage des Schlosses perfekt für die Erkundung der Toskana. Abzuraten ist vom Besuch des Restaurants vor Ort, die Qualität entspricht nicht dem, was wir ansonsten überall in der Toskana genießen durften.

The castle was a great place to vacation with friends. The rooms were interesting and so different that anything else we could have chosen! Montegufoni is near enough to Florence that it was an easy day trip, and we were so glad to not be staying in the city! The views from the castle are amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here!
