"We visited during the opening of the World Cup. The city was in chaos as there were active manifestations and protests by the teachers union. The protestors were camped out in front of the hotel and all around the nearby streets. The hotel did an excellent job making us feel safe and comfortable. I would suggest booking transportation from the hotel to the airport before hand as we had a tremendous amount of trouble getting one on our way back home. I want to shout out Efren, bell service who walked with us to a location to where an Uber would pick us up. He made us feel safe and certain everything would be ok. We love this hotel and would stay here again, their 24hr cafe is the best and so is there breakfast service."
