a little gem close to Dresden
It was a bit hard to find on the rental car's GPS as we aren't Germans. Once we arrived we found it in a very quiet corner off the main road with a garden in front of our window. The owners (brother & sister) were very kind and helpful, even cooked sunny eggs for our breakfast!

A gem hidden out of plain sight: the Sonnenhof in Reichenberg might not be an obvious first choice for Dresden visitors. However, travelers who are not just interested in Zwinger and Frauenkirche and who prefer a rather intimate place to stay: don’t look further. You will find a family run pension with great dedicated service and excellent breakfast that is located right in the middle of everything. The attractions of Dresden are a short drive so is the unique chateau of Moritzburg with its horse stables and vast lakes. If you prefer public transport: the bus stop is a 5-minute walk away. The famous town of Meissen is equally easy to reach as are many other places of interest. The rooms are modern and tasteful, parking is easy and if you have an electric vehicle, you even find a charging station. Highly recommended.

Where do I start? The hotel is WONDERFUL! We stayed due to its location; close to Dresden and Moritzburg. Upon arriving, we were met by Stefan, the managet, and he was extremely kind and provided a fantastic overview of hotel and area. Room was outstanding, with plenty of space, very clean and wonderful garden view with balcony. Breakfast was very good European style with Stefan making eggs to your liking. Parking on site with no hassles! Highly recommend and we intend to return!

Ein sehr schönes familiengeführtes Hotel. Alles wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Überwältigend sind die großen Pflanzkübel im Hof.

Bei Ankunft sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Empfang, mit entsprechenden Empfehlungen wo man gut Speisen kann und was man besichtigen sollte. Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen, macht einen familiär geführten Eindruck und ist sehr gepflegt. Leider sind die Parkmöglichkeiten sehr begrenzt. Ansonsten war der Aufenthalt sehr schön, das Frühstück wurde individuell nach persönlichem Wunsch zusammengestellt und war sehr umfangreich. Das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Auf jeden Fall lohnt sich ein Besuch, wenn man Dresden besichtigen möchte

Das Hotel liegt ruhig in einem Dorf.Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind schnell erreichbar. Das Personal ist sehr familiär und aufmerksam. Frühstück nach Wunsch. Wir würden sofort wieder buchen!

Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück war sehr gut, die Lage dörflich-ruhig. Mit dem Auto sehr bequem zu erreichen, mit dem ÖPNV schwieriger.

So nice stay at Hotel Sonnenhof
The hotel Sonnenhof is a great example why we like to travel in Germany: the hosts were so friendly and welcoming; the surroundings of the hotel and the village were so nice and relaxing. Everything went so smoothly. And the breakfast was excellent.

Also, ich bin bis jetzt in noch kein Hotel eingecheckt, was so sauber war, wie dieses! ..sehr netter Empfang/Personal, was zudem noch sehr hilfsbereit war! ..Frühstück war optimal! Zimmer waren zwar klein, aber gemütlich! Einfach toll für unseren Sädte-Trip! Hier würde ich ohne zu zögern erneut einkehren! Absolute Empfehlung!

Die Inhaber, sowie das Personal waren außerordentlich freundlich! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Mit einem freundlichen Lächeln wurden jeden Morgen beim Frühstück begrüßt, es lagen zig Broschüren für Unternehmungen aus und auch persönliche Empfehlung wurden gerne geteilt. Das Hotel wird von einer sehr netten Familie geführt sie versuchen wirklich alles um den Wünschen ihrer Gäste gerecht zu werden und haben auch gute Tipps für den Besuch in der Umgebung Die Zimmer sind zwar klein aber gemütlich, die Betten sind gross genug etwas weiche Matratzen, aber wir haben trotzdem gut geschlafen.
