"A wonderful location for our family and friends. There were lots of positives about our stay along with a handful of negatives. I did speak with the owner (through VRBO messenger and in person) about the issues we experienced and hope that they corrected the issues. Cleanliness was a major concern of ours during our stay as the property was in need of a deep cleaning (refrigerator had sludge in bottom of it, oven had mess in it, utensils had food on them, bug guts everywhere in the kitchen from people swatting them). Our other issues were the queen beds. They felt as if they were going to fall apart. The mattress and bedding were great but the frames were concerning. Things to know: -The pond is a ton of fun (canoe, kayaks, paddles and PDF's are provided)-Proximity to the river is pretty great. If you're looking for a relaxing day, take camping chairs and hang out at the river for a few hours-Be sure to visit the barn to see the critters. (Bonus points for the Emu!)-Don't plan on the grill to be functional as it's out of service due to rust failure.-Bring firewood with you for the burn pit-Close proximity to train tracks (nighty traffic on tracks with horns may cause issues for little ones sleeping)-You are staying in the "condo" half of a "barn"dominium. Any activity in the garage side during your stay will be heard and felt in the living space. -45 minute drive to The Ark Encounter-If you're over 6'2" be sure to DUCK when upstairs as the headspace is limited."
