Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Empress. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, but the carpeting—both inside the rooms and throughout the hallways—feels a bit worn and could use refreshing. The service, however, is consistently excellent, with staff who are warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. One thing I did notice was that the pool area floor tended to be a bit dirty each day, which took away from the otherwise great amenities. The in room dining is great as well.
In short: beautiful hotel, great service, but a few areas could use some updating and more frequent upkeep.

Beautiful property! The pool area, gardens and views are amazing. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downside we experienced was the pool area is small compared the number of guests the hotel accommodates, so if the pool area was busy there was a line to get a lounger or a seat which was a bit disappointing.
