Mtende Hotel Guide - Mtende Beach hotels in Mtende, Tanzania.

"Great place"

"I have loved staying here. I have stayed 8 nights and enjoyed every moment. A calm, peaceful place that feels like home, just a minute walk from the gorgeous beach. This place is family run and it has been lovely interacting with them every day. The staff is very helpful and kind, they have quickly become friends to me. Would come back any time."

"Top tier staff and service. The accommodation was great also."

"Beautiful location. Pros: - nice pool - activities - laundry service (not expensive) - inexpensive great massages Cons: - no AC - almost no water pressure in shower - only 1 very mediocre restaurant with nothing really near by "

"I stayed here in Jan 2026 and it was the most beautiful stay. From the moment I entered this property to the moment I left, everything was just wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in. Clean, stylish, spacious and the service here was always good."

"All the staff and general manager Mr Kunal were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond their duties. Even the security team made us feel safe and secure. We left our kids for few hours and they made sure they didn't leave the complex and we're kept safe. Joshua, Joe, Kunal, and the all the team in the kitchen catered for all our needs. The location is perfect for quiet stay. The pools are deep but that help d my son to boost his confidence and he was fine swimming. Food at breakfast was...

"Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure you were happy. The hotel was clean and the pool quiet and beautiful. Beach access was great and the view from our room was stunning. It was a great place to relax after climbing Kilimanjaro! Only issue was limited range of food, particularly for vegetarians. "

"Secluded and very quiet compared to other places in Zanzibar"

"Excellent property, very friendly staff and overall great experience 👍"

"Great food, great staff and great services."

"The hotel is not nearly as beautiful as it is in the pictures. I am sure it was amazing 5 years ago but it has fallen into a bad state of disrepair. A colony of bats made a home inside and leave their droppings all over the hallway and in room #4 if you are lucky to get that one. Room #1 smelled of raw sewage. However, the wifi is blazing fast and works all over the property and beach. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I just wish the owners would invest a little in repairs and clean out...
