"Lovely base for visiting all the Ironbridge Gorge museums.Would have been better with a wardrobe or place to hang clothes. Another missing piece of equipment is a teapot!"

"The Room stank of stale tobacco, when I checked in I was told numerous times that the rooms were strictly non smoking, it didn't help all the rooms look onto the smoking area of the hotel but the smell in the room was not just from outside. The Pillows were Paper thin and at 6:30am I was awoken by staff talking extremely loud outside the window. (The window had to stay open due to be it being a very warm night)"
"An ideal place to stay very close to the town centre. A comfortable room and quiet after the pub closes. The food is very good. The staff are friendly and helpful if you need assistance. We would certainly stay there again."
"Our experience of the staff was the best part of our stay. From Steph on reception, who very kindly arranged connecting rooms for my daughter and I, to Anes in the restaurant, who provided us with exemplary dinner service and was so warm and welcoming (turning my drink into a pretend cocktail was such a sweet touch!) The other reception team members (Debra?) were so helpful on checkin as we got there so late, were very tired and just needed food and bed! The other restaurant team were lovely, although I didn't get their nes as they were not front of house, but everything was served with a warm smile and gentle checking if all was ok. The rooms were lovely, very adequate for our needs. The layout of the bathroom was slightly irritating, but that might just be me being picky! The hand towel was kept over the loo and the soap was to the right of the sink high on the wall, so you had to reach past the loo roll with wet hands a couple of times (dripping everywhere). Having rhe hand soap lower and the towel on a rail near the sink would be better but that is such a TINY observation! Breakfast was good and plentiful I really loved the little signs which made such a difference! Our meal in the restaurant was great too, I had the fishcake starter and the steak baguette, both of which were tasty and well prepared. Overall, would definitely choose this again for a stay in Telford, it was very close to the centre."
"The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, in particular the front desk staff and a lovely lady (Susan) at breakfast, who went above and beyond to assist everybody. The breakfast was plentiful and good and overall the stay was great value for money."

"Stunning property. Staff very welcoming but simply not enough available to cope with the volume of booked guests. This had a knock on effect at dinner and breakfast with choices available, food quality and wait times.
Beautiful room booked, well appointed and clean within the eves of the building, but sadly no a/c in this type of property on what was a really warm night and this made for an unlucky nights rest. Low shower water pressure also probably accounted for staying in a high room in a really old building."
