The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in big changes to how we travel. If you plan to visit Murter Island, these tips will help you navigate the "new normal:"

• Find out what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you book your flight.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, even at screening checkpoints. Be ready to adjust your mask for ID purposes when asked.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, position the pass on the reader and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• You are now permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. This will need to be taken out for X-ray screening.
• Place any personal items (phone, keys and wallet) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray scanning. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to touch and inspect your belongings.
