"The Royal is a classic vintage resort hotel in the classic vintage resort of Stresa. Nothing flashy, which I prefer. The front desk service goes above and beyond, which I needed because I didn’t check in the first night due to storms in Milan but got there early the next morning. The satisfactory breakfast is in a large, pleasant room open to the garden. The view from my room was very nice, out over trees and Lago Maggiore to the mountains. I had a balcony I wished I had more time to use. I liked the hardwood floors and Oriental rugs. It’s a little out of the center of town so requires a 15 minute walk to the center. But it is very quiet and there is a convenient ferry stop for the Borromeo Islands at the end of the road it is located on. I would return."

Good choice of food for breakfast. Also good that you can use the outdoor pool at a nearby hotel. One thing to be mindful of is that it is about 20 minutes walk to the main town centre of Stresa"

"Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Special mention to all the staff at check in who were very kind & helpful! We had 2 rooms for our family of 4 which were ready before the check in time, spotlessly clean and spacious with amazing views & lovely balconies. The breakfast choice was plentiful, with a cold buffet or a hot choice, all of excellent quality and quantity. Special mention to the housekeeping staff who kept the rooms and the entire hotel wonderfully clean & tidy, discretely & quietly but always with a cheery hello! The location was beautiful and only a 10 minute stroll to the centre of Stresa where plenty of great restaurants can be found. Absolutely no faults, can not praise it enough & would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel! This is our second time staying in The Astoria & it won’t be the last! Thank you to the whole team! "

"Das Apartment in Gignese hat unsere Erwartung übertroffen. Das Apartment ist Teil schön angelegten Villa. Die Parkplätze befinden sich direkt am Gebäude.Die Sicht auf dem nördlichen Teil des Lago Maggiore ist wirklich sehr schön und besonders auf der wunderbar eingerichteten Terrasse kann man diesen Anblick wunderbar genießen. Das Apartment selbst ist mit einer sehr geschmackvollen Küche von IKEA ausgestattet. Man sieht dem Apartment direkt an, dass es gänzlich neu renoviert wurde und alles neu ausgestattet wurde.Das Badezimmer ist neu ebenfalls der geschmackvoll im italienischen Stil eingerichtet. Das einzige, was wir hier vermisst haben war eine Ablage beim Duschen für Duschgel oder Shampoo.Wir konnten auf dem großen Wandklappbett hervorragend schlafen und haben morgens ausgiebig auf der Terrasse gefrühstückt. Besser kann man einen Urlaubstag nicht beginnen.Sollten wir noch mal Lust haben, den Lago Maggiore zu erkunden? Werden wir auf jeden Fall versuchen dieses Apartment wieder zu mieten!"
