"Talk about eco-friendly, this hotel generates its own electricity from a creek. Ever stay in a sod hotel? U never know the storm outside has 50 mph winds! It was a wonderful stay, very secluded and accomodating. Restaurant was not open in winter, so bring food. Good place to search for the northern lights."

"I only stayed at Vogar Travel Service for a night, but had a great experience. It was easy to find and no need to check-in with anybody. They emailed me the door codes. The shared bathrooms were clean. There is a full kitchen to use. I would like to try camping here next time. There are not a lot of food options in the evening. "

"The Langvatan Guesthouse was the nicest stay so far during our past 8 days in Iceland. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The common dining area was very cozy and warm. The washrooms were spacious and clean. The rooms were simple and small, but that's all you really need at night. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! So many options to choose from. "Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean. Loved the fact that they had two pillows per bed....yeah!! Our host was very kind. We had a great breakfast delivered to us the next morning in a lovely bag. There was so much we ate half of it for lunch! It was great walking to Godafoss in the evening and next morning. The two visiting sheep were awesome and came with a great story! I am rallying behind the two siblings who managed to escape their fate, not once, not twice, but four times!...
