I visited Hakuba with my girlfriend during the Snow Machine festival. The White Horse hotel is a privately owned boutique, and Tony was very friendly and helpful during our stay. I especially liked the included breakfast that fueled energy for snowboarding and the shuttle service to and from the mountains. The only confusing part was during the initial tour, Tony didn't mention that we were expected to use the shared onsens for showering. I'm not sure if this is common practice in Japan, but we were later confused about why our room didn't include a shower.
