The owner was so helpful on places to go and the atmosphere in the bar was upbeat. They had live music

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
nice place off the beaten path
pros: nice staff and remarkably quiet for a hotel attached to a restaurant and music venue!
cons: reserved a queen bed; had two single beds pushed together.
From checking in to checking out the staff were really helpful and attentive.
We ate in the restaurant twice in our four night stay and the food was fantastic. We even had the honor of being the first to choose off the new summer menu and it didn't disappoint.
The choice of beers/ ales and every spirit avilable at the bar was geat and prices were very fair.
Wednesday nights Jo and special guests was a lovely surprise and we really enjoyed the music.
And to cap it all off we got to see dolphins playing in the Moray Firth while enjoying our meal.
Despite a bit of waiting on my check in as they couldn't find the key. The staff was very friendly and the fact that they have a pub made the moment very pleasant. The room was ok. Confortable bed and lovely views to the sea. Good breakfast with sea views. Sad I couldn't stay for another night as they will have live music.
We stayed a couple nights and loved it! If no hip issues, it was 8-10 mins walk from train station. Its got beach view from breakfast table- which full breakfast is included and the only place we stayed the is trip that properly cooked the tomato! Delicious! So worth it. It was also the best bed of our 3 week trip! Good room space, convenient lunch or dinner and bar with local soft pub vibe. Owner was friendly. The beach was fun to look for treasures at. Town has very limited shopping and food options, but what we found for food was delicious. Would stay again! Thank you
Outstanding view from the room we had. Some parts of the property could do with refreshing e.g. the stair carpet and some of the dining room furniture.
The property does not have its own parking, but street parking was available. In spite of this we had a good stay with good food.

Close to beach and view to water was great.
Dining was so-so and breakfast was not what I would expect when “ staff tell you that this is the last we have of this or something is not available… this is a restaurant or some rinky dink outfit?. I felt embarrassed for them by this.
Lucky I found a great restaurant in town for my second day of stay. ( This was my first time to Scotland and being touring around.)
Bar was great for drinks.
