Buena Vista by the Sea is our favourite place to stay when we are visiting family in Qualicum Beach. The location is perfect, the vista is beautiful and the space feels very cosy, clean and comfortable.

It was very clean and close to the beach. There really isn’t a trail to the beach you have to step over lots of logs and rocks so if you have mobility issues its a little tricky. There was a really nice deck area where you can sit and look at the ocean. Bring shampoo the ones they give you are shampoo and conditioner in on packet-a little bigger than a ketchup packet. But altogether i would stay again it was a great atmosphere!

Location is excellent. We had two-bed ocean view which was perfect. The room was very clean and the kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. Staff was friendly. My suggestions are that the bed in the bedroom of the room we were in be replaced as it was soft and lumpy making it hard to get a good night's sleep, the tv in the front room was glitchy and kept freezing up (although we were never in our room long so it didn't bother us much) and the supplied coffee was super weak even when adding only 4 cups of water to the 12 cup machine. It would be nice if coffee filters (or a reusable coffee filter) were provided if wanting to supply your own coffee. All-in-all I would recommend to others.

amazing place to stay, waterfront, amazing view. Grounds are well kept. Owner is very accomodating. Only issue we had was the parking. Narrow driveway down to end where you have to park which was very tight-only made for small cars/suvs.

Please note that if you book the Queen Deluxe Suite it DOES NOT have a balcony. It's on the lower floor. The photos and description both noted a balcony which is why I booked this particular place. It was a bit of a mess to have the person checking us in swap with another guest who had not checked in yet. The room was clean and comfortable and the views were great. Other than the room mishap our stay was very nice.

For my wife and I this place was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious, clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The owner was outside all the time, cleaning, watering, and generally doing upkeep. The property is well located. Just a comfortable, homey place. Would definitely return!
