Lovely little well appointed suite close to downtown, parks and restaurants

Our vacation rental is in our primary home, which means we are approved to keep offering our vacation rental after the new rules are in place in May of 2024. We have always operated 100% legally and will continue to do so.
Our property is a spacious 3.5 acre parcel with lots of gorgeous trees and outdoor space right in the middle of the city. We have a lovely roomy, newly renovated one bedroom suite that sleeps 4 in a quiet, residential area of Nanaimo. Great for couples on a get away, as well as small families. Space for all to spread out to stay and play with board games, sit by the fire in the living room or in the eat in sun porch and the generous outdoor areas. The bedroom features a California King bed, as well as a very comfortable queen sofa bed in the living room. The bedroom has black out motorized blinds to help you rest. Hotel quality mattresses, linens and well appointed kitchen and bathroom with gorgeous granite counters and large shower with built in seat to help you feel at home and enjoy your stay. There is a new salt water communal in-ground outdoor sports pool redone this year available in the summer season with a very large concrete deck area surrounding it with a fire pit. Just yourselves and occasionally the owners will take a cooling dip. The suite also includes a full laundry room with folding counter and brand new washer and dryer. This is truly a property you can choose to stay in at, cook your meals in the generous kitchen and relax with mother nature surrounding you. It is just a 5 minute drive to ocean-side parks, great restaurants and unique local shops to explore. Nanaimo is a small city located mid way on amazing Vancouver Island, home to many beautiful ocean side parks, great hiking on Mount Benson and lots of green space to explore and enjoy. This cute suite was in the perfect location for us! It had a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed, to a "spa like" shower! Lots of space for us. Joy and Chris were awesome hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back for sure!

We were in Nanaimo for a sports competition, so this location was excellent for that as well as a close drive to food stores. The suite is indeed well appointed, organized, and very comfortable. We appreciated how restful it was, and our kids loved cooling off in the pool. Joy was an excellent communicator, helping make our trip easier.

We chose this property as it was highly reviewed and had everything one would want or need for a great stay. This property and the hosts Joy and Chris did not disappoint in any way. Our family spent a week here and the property was spacious. The beds very comfortable and the overall property was clean and amply stocked with everything you would need. The grounds are beautiful, full of grand trees and birds! Convenient and quiet location. Living areas are peaceful and relaxing, comfortable, spacious, with private laundry and 1st rate kitchen, perfect for a great 7 month relocation stay. Joy and Chris are super gracious, our feline fur babies welcomed and at home, so lucky and glad we found it!

Lovely owners who went above and beyond helping me with my dog so I could spend time with my newborn grandchild. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including driveway parking and no stairs (level entry). I have found my “go to” place for future visits. We where moving to Nanaimo and needed a Vrbo that took 3 cats. Joy (Owner) is absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to help us out. Great place for a family retreat and very comfortable beds. Place was very clean and kitchen had coffee,teas and everything you need to prep a small meal. It has free wifi, cable tv, washer and dryer. It's relatively close to downtown Nanaimo and close to groceries and restaurants. Joy my family loves you and thank you once again for making us feel at home, you're an angel.

This property is excellent if you are bringing your son or daughter to settle into University life. It is real close to the university. Close to a very nice grocery store. The lodging is extremely well appointed with various things that you could need during your stay. Lots not space to relax and very comfortable beds!!! The owners are very nice and very helpful! So glad we found this lodging as it sure made all the difference for us!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN JOY!!!!

Everything we could want or need was provided in this wonderful home. Very clean and the kitchen was very well set up. Use of laundry facilities was great for us as we traveled by motorcycle with limited packing space.The beds were very comfortable with nice linens.The property was nicely landscaped and very private, great for relaxing, so peaceful. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful with any questions about their city being long time residents.Overall we loved our stay and will definitely stay with Joy & Chris again! B&S Wedge

We thoroughly enjoyed a five day stay in Joy and Chris' beautiful suite. It was generously set up with everything you could need, including a fully stocked kitchen, beautiful towels and linens, and three very comfortable beds that fit even our tall teens! The suite is spacious with lots of room for a family and games, books, and streaming services to keep everyone entertained. We swam in the pool every day and the kids loved the slide, toys, and inflatables. The pool is situated in a stunning garden setting, which was lovely to relax in as well. Joy was a welcoming host who communicated quickly. We highly recommend this gem of a suite and will return ourselves!

We were looking for a cozy getaway near the ocean and this suite was perfect! Joy and Chris were very welcoming and helpful during our stay. Our pup was welcome too and we felt right at home by the fireplace. The suite is spacious and the kitchen had all we needed. The beds were so comfy and everything was clean and there were many special touches throughout. The garden and hanging baskets were beautiful and attracted many birds - highlighting the beauty of BC's climate. Joy provided lots of helpful tips for local restaurants and unique shopping. The location provided easy access for traveling north and south of Nanaimo for the local sights and day trips. We will definitely be back! Hopefully in the warm weather when we can make use of the pool.
