"The parking is great. Been here many times it is out standing. The place so clean the host is so welcoming. And always time for a chat and so help ful. Everything you need hair dryer too exceptional. Breakfast is exceptional to every choice avalible cant fault the Horseshoe guest house will be back x"

"We were delighted to discover Gorsddu and will happily return. The property is wonderfully situated on its own with views over the mountains in all directions. The house is spacious and very well appointed. It feels welcoming. The garden is enclosed so our dog could enjoy the outdoor space too when we were sitting outside. The sense of peace and space was so welcome. You can walk from the door. Llanwrthwl Common is vast but with tracks to follow. OS map useful. It's a friendly area with so much to see - the Elan Valley of course, great countryside all around and history and culture and cafes. The 'local amenities' rating feels superfluous for this property. The village is tiny. The approach is up a bumpy moorland track. Gorsddu lies in splendid isolation. Those who choose to spend time here are probably not looking for local amenities. Having said that, road access beyond the village to amenities is fine."

"Glan Wye proved to be the perfect cottage for our stay in the Elan Valley. Very comfortable and spacious. We loved being able to sit and watch the red kites from the lounge, only criticism there would be, take a few feet off the hedge and you would have the perfect view over the surrounding area but still have privacy.We found the welcome at the Triangle Inn great, food so good we ate there three times. We also ate at The Crown (also good but felt a bit rushed and not such nice atmosphere) and The Lamb and Flag (not our kind of food or pub)"

"Property in need of maintenence and upkeep, ie somewhat shabby. Limited provisions, dishwasher failed to clean items correctly so hand washed cutlery etc... Hot tub was good and available at all times. Good floor space but feel we could have gotten more for our money."
