I had never stayed with VRBO before so I didn’t know what to expect. The pictures were completely accurate. The house is very comfortable and plenty of room for 2 people. The home was clean and nicely furnished.The beds were very comfortable and slept great. Having the full size kitchen was a great option too. The only down side was took awhile for the water to warm and low water pressure for shower. The backyard is nice to sit outside but it needs a little maintenance. Overall we loved it and would definitely be back for sure! The little minor issues were more a small annoyance vs. being huge issues. 8.5/10 for overall

The house had some very nice features. The unit looked great in the VRBO listing, however we felt let down in the following ways: general cleanliness not great - dirty dishes on shelves; floors could use a good clean; exterior front entrance was untidy and in steps in disrepair; interior walls scuffed and marked . Non functional lamps and light bulbs; moldy shower curtain. The on demand hot water system was difficult to use, it took a very long time to get any hot water, we never turned on the cold tap. There was no soap for showers, as promised in add. All this being said, the host was very responsive to our requests for assistance and delivered the soap. This could be fabulous place with some TLC.

Attention needed.
Stove was really dirty inside and stove top had not been cleaned before our stay There was no hand soap and no tissues in the bathroom. We found hair around the sink in the bathroom that did not belong to any of us therefore we felt compelled to clean before using all bathroom facilities . Would suggest more table/floor lamp lamps as it’s a bit dark in living and tv rooms Another suggestion would be a small dining table. The location was really great and our host was quick to answer questions when needed.

When rolling into the neighborhood it looks a bit sketchy, lots of people loitering around drinking by cars, by the second day we got used to it and the people we encountered were very nice. The place itself while nice looking in pictures was pretty grim. The entire place is desperate for a coat of paint, half the lights didn't have bulbs in them, the soap in the bathroom was a tiny bit of watered down hand soap, dirty coffee filter left in coffee machine, filthy cheap shower curtain, trash under one of the beds, only half the TV remote worked, and the thinest mattresses to where you roll toward the middle of the bed. It wouldn't take much to get it much much better. A few hundred dollars investment would go a long way.

We had a great time.. a bit far from Broadway (about 30-45 minute walk) but we Ubered & Lyft'd for cheap everywhere. The apartment was clean enough but somethings were not. Hair in the bed or used hair elastics on the shelves. Great amenities - microwave worked fine unlike other reviews. The stovetop was extremely hot and burned most food on low so we just turned it on then turned it off to continue cooking - not sure if thermostat on it is gone. It has a wok, pans, grater, etc - great for cooking to save $$$. Easy check in process with your personalized code to get in. Two massive rooms & a pull out couch. Definitely would stay here again! Worth it.

Good stay
It was a good stay everything was prepared andready, location is good. Little far for walking but you can grab a scooter or Uber rather quickly. The property was in good condition and clean, the hot water did fluctuate a bit. However, everything was in proper working order. I would recommend staying at this location ease of checkin was fast and not complicated. Good experience overall.

Overall our stay was good and the home was great for what we needed to have our Thanksgiving together. Just one little thing the microwave didn't heat up for leftovers the next day. Wasn't an issue as we were out and about that Friday. Would stay again

We stayed here for a few days to work in the city. The house was clean. However the wrong house code was programmed in and we had to make a guess to get in, the microwave is broken and I communicated this to the owner who never acknowledged the message, and lastly the train is so close it woke us up multiple times.

Absolutely loved our stay at this property. The host was very responsive to the couple of queries we had and the property was extremely charming. There's a park across the road and a couple of great coffee locations just a few blocks walk the other side of the park. It's not far from down town and is an easy 15min walk. Also, the bed in the main room was soooo comfy. I'd definitely stay here again.

Joyce a one star review is a little harsh. I was on vacation and traveling without service for the day so I apologize I couldn’t answer your call. There is no electrical problem in laundry room. The listing stated we only have 1 bathroom. There is no ice machine, I replaced the bulb in the lamp and will get a new microwave. Not sure why the front door would have been left open but I reached out to my cleaner and asked her to double check moving forward.

Worst place I have ever stayed! Don’t stay here!
The property had garbage, and over grown grass in the backyard, was overall unusable. Broken window replaced with storm window, which was not shown or said before rented, window did not lock and was “locked” by one piece of tape. Toilet was held up by paper towel and cardboard paper. Sheets were stained, house was really dirty, stuff falling out of shaggy carpet. Over grown bushes, weeds and poison ivy upon entering the house. A lot of light bulbs did not work. Really loud, weed filled neighborhood. When telling the owner of my issue and saying I can not stay here, refuses a refund.

Very unreasonable guests. The window was broken by the previous guests and was only broke from one pane and still locked fine. The place was professionally cleaned before their stay. It wasn’t to their standards so I offered to refund the cleaning fee and send the cleaner by to clean again. I offered to swap out stained linen with brand new linen. Nothing would appease them.

Overall nice stay - needs several fixes/updates
Overall we had a nice visit at this property. Some parts of the neighborhood were nice, other parts not so nice. There are a lot of people that loiter on this street. It is close to downtown, the beds were comfortable, the A/C nice and cool, and it was nice having a washer/dryer. Also a bonus having two king beds available since we stayed with one other couple. There isn't a table in the kitchen which wasn't that big of a deal but would have been nice. The microwave does not heat up food. There are not enough hand towels/rags in the kitchen. More towels and wash cloths in the bathroom would have been nice. The back window was broken and is patched but you can open it easily. Back door is easy to get into as well. The yard (front and back) is not well kept. There is not a garbage bin available outside. We had to put our bags tied up in the back yard on the ground. I wouldn't be against staying again if mentioned items were fixed.

Pros: House was clean enough. Short Uber ride to downtown. Street parking available outside of rental. Had all the essentials. The temperature was cool and comfortable. Owner was reachable and quickly responded to our questions. Cons: All rooms could definitely use a fresh coat of paint. Main area was missing two outlet covers, microwave turned on but didn’t heat up. Front and back yard was unkept, first pane of back window still broken, and washer had musty smell. Some lights need to be replaced. The HVAC closet was extremely dusty/unkept. The neighborhood is in transition. We had no issues but some things were questionable. Overall we did enjoyed our stay.

Filthy and poor communication
I have been renting out homes for all of 10 years and I have never witnessed a home so dirty. There were nice trinkets around the home which is what initially caught my eye when booking. However, the walls had dirt and grim, the bathroom was not cleaned before we arrived, the kitchen had old food stains on the appliances, the black rug in the living area had blonde human hair all over, buttons on the remote to the tv did not work, and everything was very dusty. I did not feel safe having my 14 month old touching anything. I called the manager and he told me he would return my cleaning deposit and send a cleaning lady out. The cleaning lady came back to only clean the bathroom and I never received my cleaning deposit back. After he verbally agreed to return it. To put a cherry on the top, I was there for a wedding and the morning of, there was no hot water to take showers. I had an awful experience in this home and wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone else.

The house was deep cleaned before the guest checked in. We have it deep cleaned once a month on top of the regular cleanings in between stays. Salena happened to check in right after the deep cleaning. I stopped by the property myself to drop off supplies and verified it was ready for guests. Upon check in she said it hadn’t been cleaned and she wanted a refund. So I apologized to her and sent a cleaner out to clean again the next morning. After that I didn’t hear back from the guest until the last day of their stay where they said the hot water didn’t work anymore and then wanted a full refund. When we went by the tankless water heater was turned off. We are not sure how it got turned off since she stated it worked previously in her trip. At the end of the day we take pride in our property and our countless 5 star reviews speak for themselves. We are sorry Salena had such a poor stay.

Convenient location
We found the area to be conveniently located to the major interests we had. The property is nice. It could use a little TLC (wobbly toilet, strobe lights in the laundry room, none of the lamps worked), but nothing that greatly inconvenienced us. It is clear from the pics, but apparently I overlooked the fact that there is no kitchen table. There is a small table in front of the tv, but more than 2 people can't eat there. There's also no toaster if you plan to do the quick kid breakfasts!

Hey Marty first and foremost I apologize you had a few issues with your stay. As I stated when you messaged me upon checkout I wish you would have told me their was a sewer smell.. I could of had it fixed same day. The house is 100 years old and most of the pipes have been replaced but every 6 months or so we have to get the clear out snaked. It’s a quick and easy fix. I do apologize that it happened during your stay. I asked my cleaner to please double check under furniture for future stays. The shower pressure is working great and it’s a tankless water heater so once it’s heats up it doesn’t run out of hot water. Once again we apologize that you had some issues.

There were four of us in this house. The house did its job for a few days. The neighbor hood isn’t fantastic but it also isn’t horrible. Distance from things to do was good, 10 min drive and you can get to most places.

Location was great for travel to where we wanted to be. Several little spots within walking distance to grab breakfast ( thanks to the host for suggestions). There are some questionable gatherings and such that go on at the park across the street but people were friendly and I felt no real concern about safety. House could definitely use some TLC and a deep clean although it was clean enough. The same two bags of garbage seem to still be hanging out back as have been mentioned in previous posts. The fridge and freezer could use a good clean and several other areas that have seemed to gather some dirt and plenty of cobwebs that have formed out front. Some fresh coats of paint inside and outside would make a big difference. There’s really no area to sit outside and the yard isn’t really maintained as such that you would want to. For a spot to sleep and shower while you spend your days seeing the sights of Nashville it was perfect!

Nashville Hospitality near it all.
This owner was on his game, Quick responses to any questions. Home is centrally located and short shared ride from it all including Vanderbilt bars, Broadway, Nissan stadium, Tennessee BBQ and the Airport. This home was updated and is located in a Neighborhood that's t very up and coming in the future. The small park and school in the area is typical of the associated noise of the city life. The unit is as described, cleaned, and as always I was happy to support local and stay in a VRBO.

In town for concert
Like others have said when you first arrive the neighborhood park across the street can seem a little sketchy but just realize it's the neighborhood hanging out then lots of games and activities going on. House was great, very spacious for a smaller property. The back yard however was a mess...bags of trash and such but we had no need to hang out back there so didn't take away from the stay at all. I do recommend to the owner that he put tvs in the bedrooms

We had a awesome stay in Nashville and our VRBO was a excellent location. We always felt safe. Our host anticipated our needs and made everything seem less. Our only sticking point is a drainage issue in the tub. But I was very pleased overall

This property has a great location to all things fun. We did have a super nice neighbor advise us not to leave valuables in our car which we took her advice and had no issues. Park across the street… saw some people but they never bothered us. This Property has tons of potential but is due for a deep clean and has some minor dings. Some lights didn’t work some plugs didn’t work. We found all things needed but not much communication checking in. Some towels and washcloths are found in a garage bag on the washer. Outside needs cleaned including porch painted and lights fixed. . Other than sleeping we didn’t spend much time there. Minor fixes and with the location this place is truly a gem

This was a great little house for our family of 4. The location was also perfect. Suggestions to make the house more family/kid friendly: a collapsible step stool for kids to reach sinks/toilet and possibly an option for more shades for the windows. Otherwise, loved it!

The house is located 10 minutes from everything! We went to a concert at Bridgestone Arena and we were 10 minutes away. We went to some good restaurants none more than 10 minutes away. House is comfy, host responsive. We would stay here again, no doubt!

A few issues, okay stay.
House was okay, neighborhood, close to Broadway area. However, back door lock was not so secure, we put a broom against the door at night. No kitchen table, toilet leaked. Had to wait for hot water in shower to get hot and with 4 people if you were not the first to shower it got cold fast. No hot water in the kitchen. Welcome packet in a cabinet, found it on the last day of our stay. Had trouble locking front door with code. Owner was very nice. Our stay was not bad despite these small issues.

Hey Diana we are sorry for the issues during your stay. The back door has a lock on it. But we will look into installing a deadbolt for future guests. We noticed the toilet leak during cleaning after your stay and got a plumber out and fixed the issue (sorry it happened during your stay). I told you to check the cabinet for the welcome packet when we talked and that sometimes guests will put it in there. The smart lock ran out of batteries and it is now fixed as well so no more door code issues. And last but not least we have a tankless water heater and yes it takes about 30 seconds to get hot, but the benefit is it stays hot and doesn’t run out of hot water. We are not sure why you would have had an issue. Once again we are sorry for your issues and apologize for any inconvenience they caused.
