The home was not as advertised
I wanted to like this place. However, immediately after booking, I had a bad feeling. Communication was not the best. I messaged the host several days before on the VRBO app and received no response. I messaged her on WhatsApp, and she left me on read. I called her, introduced myself, and asked if she could send me the address. It took forever for her to send me the address information; when she did, it was just a pin location. It's not what I was expecting, but okay.When we arrived, the host advised me that check-in was at 3 p.m. No problem. Then, the host messaged me, saying the cleaners needed more time. The bedding had to dry, and she needed a new showerhead because the previous renters had broken it, and it needed to be replaced. We took our time getting to the house. When we finally got to the house, we could forget that we had to get the check-in information in bits and pieces. There were no welcome instructions. The place was not as advertised. My biggest issue is the house was not clean! The ceiling fans and vents were filthy, and the sheets were not clean. We did not have additional bedding, and the place had a bad roach infestation. BAD! The microwave was broken, but the host never advised us. Instead, the host advised us to use the stove and oven with all the roach feces on the pots and pans. There wasn't even any dish soap or Clorox to disinfect. I could go on! Just don't stay here until the host cleans up their act.
