"We loved the history of the Inn and do recommend others to visit. What I missed most was having a refrigerator in our room, but I was told later by the staff that for $10 they would have brought a small one up to our room if we had asked them to but we didn’t know that until we were leaving. It’s a beautiful place and I enjoyed seeing the bears in the area. Be very careful around the pool area. That’s where we saw the little bear in the trash bin! The beach area was closed the weekend we were there because of the weather ( lots of rain during the week bringing up debris which was would have been dangerous for the little ones.) We enjoyed the trip to Chimney Rock and all the places we ate at were amazing! Great food and staff there at the Lake Lure Inn!!! We will be back again soon to support the people there!!!"

"Very cute mountain home, one of the cleanest, well stocked places we have ever stayed in. They really pay attention to detail, and have everything the travelers could possibly need. Home was comfortable. The screened in porch was a favorite of ours. To drink our coffee in the morning,to listening to the river at night. I read reviews about the water pressure and hot water issues. We did not encounter any of those issues. There were several restaurants close by to enjoy. We especially loved going into the Chimney Rock park! Beautiful views! Yes the driveway pulling in is a little challenge, but you are in the mountains, there are no straight roads. We were celebrating our anniversary and the owners left us a bottle of champagne! So nice! You can't go wrong staying here! Highly recommend!"

"The property itself was perfect for our needs, and also reasonably priced. The check-in was unintuitive, as the code entry used an unfamiliar keypad and the instructions were incomplete. The host did not reply to messages in real time, but with a neighbor's help we got in within a few minutes."

"It’s like a big treehouse with an awesome deck 3 sides around. Hot tubParty lights too! Tons of seating in and out! It has tons of very large windows with gorgeous green tree views from every where! Easy to find and very near Lake Lure, We loved it! Thx Ashley!"

"Great time at the lake - very private and quiet. This is a good place to unwind, unplug and relax. Host has simple rules and no complicated instructions. Pet friendly and close to the lake. Looking forward to coming back."

"We enjoyed staying at Chimney Rock View. The place was clean and neat - a rustic small home that was mountain - bear themed - and we did see bears (outside)! The owners seemed to have everything we needed - and we could bring our dog! We were able to walk down the hill to awesome restaurants and shops. Great location to hike at Chimney Rock Park or travel a short distance to the Lake Lure Beach and Waterpark. It’s at a great location. We love that area - it’s so beautiful. There are steps - not a place for people with mobility issues. There is no dishwasher but that didn’t bother me or my husband. Regardless, we would definitely stay there again and hopefully will."
