"Absolutely perfect place for a “girls” (who may be more accurately identified as mature women) beach weekend. It was important for our group of 11 women to each have our own bed (vs sharing) and this house was the perfect fit! We all had our own bed and five of us got our own bedroom (the other beds were in the bunk room and game room pull out couches). We LOVED the gathering room with an amazing ocean view and a gorgeous fireplace. Absolutely picturesque. The kitchen is HUGE with two fridges and so well appointed. We had everything we needed. The bedroons were very spacious and had very comfortable bedding. We loved the theater room and did a Power Point Presentation Party in it. It was perfect! We all walked on the beach which is directly in front of the house and an easy walk into the little town of Manzanita. Some hiked nearby. Some of us sat in the hot tub with the most amazing view imaginable. The host was gracious and accommodating- even a special request. I’ve already had others who have seen photos of our trip ask for the information to rent it themselves. This truly is the PERFECT place to stay with a group. Incredible bang for the buck. "

"The house was amazing! Cozy and comfortable, and it really had everything I needed. And it was all in perfect condition!! The hot tub was divine, and the location was perfect! Really close to town, the beach, and the state park! I will look forward to staying again! And Olive dog enjoyed it too. Especially zoomies on the beach!! Thank you!"

"We had a great time at Gary's house over New Year's. The proximity to the beach was what drew us to the property--only a block from the ocean in our favorite quiet neighborhood of Manzanita, just down the street from Nehalem State Park. We enjoyed the dog-friendliness of the house, and the living room with smart TV and comfy couch were great. We also enjoyed having a pool table in the great room, and we spent many hours upstairs playing games. We hope to come back sometime soon."

Several upgrades this year were a delight to experience. It is such a comfortable, well-stocked, and beautifully appointed rental. "This is the third consecutive year that we've looked forward to kicking off the holiday season in this incredibly charming house. The owners do an amazing job of decorating: a wonderful tree with lights and ornaments, garlands on the mantel, and other thoughtful touches. Add in a roaring fireplace, the (inevitable) rainy evening, and a good book... it's just as "blissful" as the name of the home would suggest. All of my previous comments still apply of course: a well-appointed kitchen, exceedingly comfortable beds, a full washer and dryer, etc.Our dog Moose gives it two paws up as well with bowls for water and food provided, and a reasonably short walk to the beach.We'll be booking again for this time next year!"
