Guests will follow a long gravel driveway until they find themselves in the middle of the forest where they are welcomed to a beautiful, rustic 1800s log cabin with a wrap around porch. Upon entering the Montana Cabin, guests will feel an instant sense of charm, comfort, and peace.
The Montana Cabin was completely restored using reclaimed barn doors and patchwork quilt hardwood flooring that came from old churches, schoolhouses, and other older homes in the area. The hickory kitchen cabinets are filled with all the amenities needed for our guests to enjoy a scrumptious, home-cooked meal. There is a wood burning pot bellied stove that guests can use to warm up with during winter months while snuggling on the couch. Follow the wooden staircase to the cozy lofted area with two Queen-sized beds where the floors and A-frame ceiling are covered in the beautiful, restored hardwood flooring.
Step outside each morning for a morning coffee before the birds start chirping to hear the unearthly quietness of the forest. Throughout the day, explore the unknown at the nearby State Parks. Come back to enjoy some flamed grilled food.
The wrap around porch is pure bliss. There is a small fire pit around the back where our guests can enjoy time underneath stars around a crackling, warm flame. To end each evening, guests can relax and unwind in the circular Jacuzzi that is tucked away on the corner of the wrap around porch.

Great little cabin! We stayed here for my 40th bday and it was really nice. They even came and switched out the tv to a smart tv so we could watch the Bears game. The hot tub was perfect, I loved watching the snow fall whie soaking. Overall a nice vacation, we will be back!
Easy to get to and secluded. Genuinely rustic but with all necessary modern conveniences. Loved the setting. Close proximity to all things Hocking Hills. Definitely recommend.
The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway! Check in was smooth, the cabin was clean and had what we needed for a two-night stay, and the 1st Choice staff were great! We would stay here again on our next visit to hocking hills.
The cabin is perfect for couples getaway. Quite in the woods. It’s peaceful and has everything you need. It was an amazing get away for me and my husbands anniversary.
This is a great little cabin. Quiet and comfortable. Located within 30 minutes of all the things we wanted to see and do. My only recommendation would be to move the fire pit away from the septic.
The cabin was quiet and comfortable. Close to everything we wanted to do. I have one recommendation to move the fire pit away from the septic. Other than that, a great stay.

Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
There is no way to communicate with the property managers after business hours. We slept in our car outside the cabin because there was no key in the lock box like we were told there would be, and there was no way to tell anyone until the office opened the next day. Honorable mention: the staff was kind and apologetic, a full refund was received, but we will not use this company in the future.
Came out to Hockimg Hills for a reunion of myself and my sweetie from
30 years ago. Place was perfect and very secluded away from everyone. Cabin was adorable decorated in bears and forest decor. Don’t forget to write a note and stick in the wall. Will definitely be back!
We had a great time. The place under promised and over delivered. It is very secluded and quiet, which is hard to find! Beautiful cabin in the woods. Perfectly clean and well stocked. I will say that the mattresses could use an update. They are very very soft/worn out. But that’s the only complaint.
Loved the cabin! So much character! We loved all the little notes left by others. The hot tub was very hot. There were so many flies. The furniture was comfortable. It was a relaxing get away. Could not log into WiFi. Well equipped kitchen. Nice bathroom! Gotta be careful on those stairs to the bedroom. We would definitely return!

Montana cabin
The cabin was really nice as advertised. We enjoyed the location very private. It was clean and comfortable. The biggest problem with our stay was the septic system and sewage smell and we could not get away from it. If you took a shower, got even worse. So we could not use the fire ring in the outside amenities. so on the property, we were restricted to the cabin.
This cabin was even better than the pictures. We walked in to warmth and this wonderful smell, like pine and cinnamon and bread. It was so cozy, lovely and clean. My partner and I had a blast curling up together and watching horror movies on the comfortable couch. And we also got to go to Hocking Hills State Park, specifically Old Man’s Cave, right after a beautiful snow fall. It was a perfect and private respite from the city. My partner said it was a great birthday surprise! We will be back!
The cabin was nice and clean. We reported that the hot tub blew the breaker when you kicked on the jets on Monday. Still wasn’t fixed and there was no communication about the issue with us throughout the week, including Friday when we checked out. The outdoor gas grill had burner tubes that were rusted out and was not usable.
Very quiet and peaceful. Very clean overall and well stocked. Love the inside of the cabin so much. Truly a gem. A few suggestions: provide firewood or fire starters. And the hot tub cover could be replaced. Light in hot tub didn’t work and the inside of the cover was making the water dirty. There is a smell outside likely due to the water well or septic but it wasn’t much of an issue for me. I also wish checkout wasn’t so early, usually 11-12 is normal but 10 made me feel rushed to get out. I would return though.
