Spacious Oceanview Villa (Sleeps 22)

Enjoy a glass of wine with breathtaking sunsets & whitewater ocean views from the comfort of your own home! This 8 bedroom, 4 bath, two living room home that sleeps 22 features 250 degree water views from both stories and an expansive outdoor space. The shorefront of southern Connecticut boasts a coastal scene with beaches, restaurants, bars, shops, and events for enjoyment and relaxation. Come see what National Geographics rated as one of the best beaches.

We are located at the mouth of the Thames River where it joins the Long Island Sound and looks out into the Atlantic Ocean. From our house you can see the local lighthouse on a distant island and submarines travelling to and from the base up the river.

Guests have access to 3 carload passes to nearby Ocean Beach Park (4 minute drive). Ocean Beach park has a large beach, playground, pool, spray park, mini golf, water slide, restaurant, carousel, kiddie rides, arcade, and gym. They have a weekly program of special events such as live music, movie on the beach night, family activities, etc. Guests can also visit other local beautiful beaches and pay a small fee by the carload.

This property includes one long driveway and on-street parking in front of the home (all free of course).

Good vacation

We had a great time staying there. It was a struggle finding good homes that allowed a larger group of people in, and this home was a great fit for us.The most important part was that the hostess was a great person and was always there if we needed anything.

Ocean view villa

This was a gorgeous, spacious vacation spot for our large family. The amenities were comparable to a 4 star hotel. Perfect for family meals (inside or on the spacious deck) and group games. The owner was very responsive and helpful with questions before and during the stay.

A beautiful home!

Absolutely loved staying here. Katie was super helpful and my group had an amazing time. The house is plenty big for big groups. While my group was supposed to be 16, we only had 8 but it felt even more special! Everyone had their own rooms & thoroughly enjoyed their time. Thank you for being an incredible host, Katie!

Great family gathering house

We were a family of ten with 6 adults and 4 children ages 3-7. The house was well stocked and lacked nothing. Beach access was a mile away and beach passes were great. The kids loved the town playground and Mitchell College’s ice cream was a hit. The house was spacious and beds were comfortable.

Easter Weekend

Coffey Family Getaway

From the first communication with Katie we had nothing more than wonderful experiences. The home is beautiful and the neighborhood is so charming. We thought parking would be an issue but had no problems. Walked to Ocean Park every morning. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed and then some. We look forward to being able to come back next year. Amazing getaway!

Our group of 16 friends had an amazing time at this house. It’s a spacious, beautiful property that is so well stocked with everything you could need. We have stayed in a number of rentals as a large group and all agreed that this was our very favorite! The dining room and multiple living rooms with plenty of seating for everyone were highlights. Great location with gorgeous water views and an easy walk to the beach.

Beautiful Home in a Superb Location!

The house was perfect for our stay. It accommodated my husband, myself plus our large family. Each guest bedroom was comfortable and well equipped. The area where we gathered the most was upstairs overlooking the water. It provided an opportunity to visit and play games. We also appreciated the dual sets of washers and dryers on each level. Definitely recommend to large groups and those wanting a centrally located property.

Getaway Retreat

My sisters and I planned a getaway retreat to relax and bask in the goodness of the Lord. This house was STUNNING 💜💜. There was more than enough space, everything was cleaned and up to date, it was decorated beautifully and we wanted for nothing. The plus was the amazing view of the waters and sunrise. The home was perfect for a work retreat. Lots of open meeting space and plenty of bedrooms and beds. The house was warm and inviting as well as having everything we needed for food, fun and work. The few times I had to message the host, the response was quick and friendly. All in all a very good experience. Our best retreat yet !

Beautiful and spacious house with plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms to go around. Decor was modern and trendy. Location was central and near water. Katie provided us with all the information and house essentials (like towels, toothpaste, bedsheets, games, toys for kids, blankets, extra beds). One of the best hosts Ive spoken to, very easy to talk to and very fast with communication. Honestly one of the best houses I stayed in. My friends and family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for a large group!!!

Great Holiday Family Gathering Spot

We were looking for large spacious place for our family to "meet in the middle" (between northern NJ and Mass). We had a total of 10 adults and one toddler and two 3 month olds (as well as a dog). This place worked out perfectly.Katie was awesome and very responsive to any questions we had.The Home: The space in the home is super...from the bedrooms to the multiple "living" areas. We LOVED that it was decorated for the holidays.The kitchen, while a tad small, worked just fine for the several home cooked meals we prepared and served in the ample dining room.The only minor issue was trying to get temperature of the home consistent. While we happened to be there on the coldest weekend of the year (literally 10 degrees out), it took a while to get the home warm...but once we did - all was good.Lastly, the location was good for us as mentioned - as it was in the middle for us, and it was a short drive to Mystic where we hung out one afternoon.We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Hiuse!

This house is unbelievable! It is very clean and very well maintained. Every small detail is taken care of from the included beach passes to practically every kitchen gadget available. The only tiny issue is the description of parking. We had two vehicles (compact car and mini van) and they both fit in the driveway but I don’t see how any other vehicle would fit. Be aware the driveway is kind of narrow which wasn’t a problem for us. Overall, we would absolutely recommend this property with no hesitation.

Perfect choice

House accommodated our family of 13 perfectly. Kitchen amenities (dishware pots, flatware, paper goods, spices, condiments, etc). were outstanding. Place was immaculate. Owner was always responsive to communications and very helpful with sharing information about the area.Two issues - kitchen hot water faucet was not working.A large living room on first floor, instead of the second, would have been more comfortable since some people had difficulty with the stairs..

Class Reunion Stay

Stayed here for a college reunion with a few other couples. The house was spacious and extremely well stocked. Beds were comfortable and the location was beautiful with many of us either going for a run along the water or walking to the nearby park. Katie was superbly responsive and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely do so again!
