North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Mid-City pulls you in the moment you step off the streetcar - four blocks away and running straight into the heart of New Orleans. From here, Mardi Gras parades roll past your door, the Caesars Superdome sits a 15-minute walk away, and Lafitte Greenway beckons for a morning stroll. This single-level home is a genuine neighborhood base: lived-in, well-stocked, and ready for however you want to spend your time in the city.

Living space
The living room is built for easy evenings in. Settle in by the electric fireplace, pull up Netflix or Roku on the 50-inch HDTV, or dig into one of the board games on the shelf. A dedicated workspace with a door gives you a quiet corner if you need to catch up on anything. Central air conditioning, central heating, and ceiling fans keep the temperature comfortable no matter the season.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms accommodate up to six guests, each furnished for restful nights with room-darkening shades, extra pillows, and extra blankets. Ample clothing storage and hangers make it easy to settle in properly rather than living out of a bag.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to use from the moment you arrive. A Whirlpool stainless steel gas stove and oven, Whirlpool refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and freezer cover all the essentials, while cooking basics, dishes, silverware, wine glasses, and a baking sheet mean you won't be hunting for what you need. The Keurig coffee machine handles mornings, and the dining table brings everyone together for shared meals.

Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms keep things running smoothly for a group of six. Shampoo, Zoologics conditioner, body soap, cleaning products, and a hair dryer are all provided, along with a bathtub for a proper soak after a long day on your feet.

Outdoor living
The private patio with fire pit is where evenings tend to end up - a quiet spot to decompress with a drink after a full day. The private entrance and single-level layout make coming and going straightforward, and the driveway accommodates up to three vehicles. Free street parking and a paid garage nearby add further flexibility.

Laundry & essentials
An in-unit washer and dryer are free to use throughout your stay. Towels, bed linens, toilet paper, a first aid kit, an iron, and a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm are all in place. One exterior security camera is located on the front porch for security purposes.

Neighborhood
Mid-City puts you within easy reach of everything that makes New Orleans worth visiting. Trader Joe's and University Medical Center are close by on foot, the Endymion parade route runs nearby during Mardi Gras season, and the Lafitte Greenway is an easy walk for a quieter moment away from the crowds.
