It was a nice quiet area, could walk to restaurant. Will need transportation to get to other area of NOLA, we used Lyft. Staff are not familiar with what is around the area to eat, drink!

My stay was great and I will definitely be back! However, when I used to stay here a few years ago, they used to offer breakfast which was great. I would have loved it if they offered breakfast, especially for the money I'm paying.

This is my go-to hotel when visiting New Orleans for a quick trip. The location is perfect - 1 mile from Tulane, a six minute walk to Freret Street where there are multiple options for dining AND a grocery store. One of the key benefits for me is 24-hour secured off-street parking, which is located directly across the street from the hotel. Some recent wonderful upgrades to the lobby area and the rooms make this hotel even more welcoming and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions. All of this for a very affordable nightly rate, which is important. Give the Alder a try on your next visit to NOLA - you won't be disappointed!

Staff was incredibly friendly and super helpful. The room was fine, nothing special. Half the outlets didn’t work and I had to find one that did just to get the tv to work. The pool had trash and leaves in it, which I could see from my balcony. Overall, I’d stay here again if I needed to, got the job done.

The rooms were unusually large, and I suggest they advertise that. Its a nice feature. The room has quality furnishings, bedding, better-than-most shower, etc. The hotel is a close distance to the Tulane University. The only drawback, is that the balcony that is advertised--at least on our second floor room--was not worth mentioning and was unfurnished.
