Note: The lower deck is exclusively for your use, but boat owners may walk through briefly to reach the dock. No access to the home, and it happens rarely.


As New Orleans eases into autumn - the heat mellowing, the evenings sharpening into something crisper and more alive - this lakefront townhouse positions you perfectly between waterfront calm and city energy. Set directly on Lake Pontchartrain, with two balconies offering water and marina views, it’s a home that rewards slow mornings just as much as packed city itineraries. Inside, generous rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and thoughtful amenities across three floors make it well-suited to families and groups who want somewhere that actually feels like a home.

 

The space

The open living area is oriented toward the lake and filled with natural light. A Roku HDTV, board games, and ceiling fans give the room character and flexibility - whether you’re settling in for a film night or planning the next day over coffee. The dedicated workspace, set in its own private room with a closing door, makes the property a capable base for remote workers or those using New Orleans as a longer hub. Central air conditioning and central heating keep conditions comfortable throughout any shift in the weather.

 

Sleeping arrangements

Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests across a range of configurations. The primary suite offers a king bed and its own private bathroom. A second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, while the third provides full beds and a daybed with trundle - an arrangement that adapts well to families or groups of mixed ages. Each room comes with room-darkening shades, extra pillows and blankets, and ample clothing storage, including a walk-in closet, closet, and dresser.

 

Kitchen & dining

The chef’s kitchen is fully stocked for self-catering stays of any length. A Frigidaire electric stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and mini fridge handle the day-to-day, while a Keurig coffee machine - with coffee provided - blender, toaster, baking sheet, and hot water kettle take care of the extras. Cooking basics, dishes, silverware, and wine glasses are all included. The dining table and wet bar make the space an easy place to gather, whether you’re sharing breakfast or mixing a drink before heading out.

 

Outdoor living

Two balconies open out over Lake Pontchartrain and the marina - a view that’s easy to linger over on a cool autumn morning. The private patio below includes outdoor furniture, sun loungers, an outdoor dining area, and a private outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ grill. A private heated pool, open 24 hours, and a hot tub are also available on the grounds, and a private boat slip offers direct access to the lake.

 

Convenience & family essentials

Self check-in is handled via smart lock. The home includes in-unit washer and dryer, iron, drying rack, a safe, and all bathroom essentials - shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, hair dryer, and a bathtub. Families will find a Pack ‘n Play available on request (with sheets provided), a paid high chair on request, baby safety gates, and babysitter recommendations. Cleaning during your stay is available. Two free driveway parking spaces are provided on the premises, with free street parking also available nearby.

 

Location

Breakwater Park is just steps away, offering waterfront walks and easy access to the marina. The French Quarter is around 15 minutes by car, with Frenchmen Street and the Superdome both within easy reach - useful for anyone in New Orleans for music, dining, or live events. Autumn is one of the city’s better-kept secrets - the pace eases, the air cools, and the neighborhoods come into their own.
