Large private house in one of New Orleans oldest and safest neighborhoods
Located in historic Algiers Point across the river from the French Quarter. Algiers Point is New Orleans 2nd oldest neighborhood and has great local vibe with huge oak trees, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and a fresh market. The neighborhood is quieter and safer than typically found in New Orleans, lots of young families and friendly neighbors. A short walk from the front door is the Mississippi River, the path along the levee is an incredible location for walks, exercising, and taking in the sunset.
The house itself has an authentic New Orleans feel with high ceilings, pocket doors, hardwood floors and has been recently renovated with upgraded appliances, washer/dryer, central AC/heat, and a tankless water heater for infinite hot water. The shady front porch is ideal for sitting out and enjoying the spring weather. The interior features a cozy living room with a comfy wrap around couch and huge projector screen for watching movies/tv, a reading room with a piano and record player, a large master bedroom with king size bed, private bath, and huge walk in closet. The kitchen is well set up for someone who likes to cook and comes complete with all the necessary kitchen supplies, a gas stove/oven, Instapot, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and a kitchen island. Both the main bathroom and the private master bath have clawfoot tubs.
The house is quite large and more than enough room for a couple. Its listed as a 1 bedroom because the 2nd bedroom has been converted to home office for remote working. The owner is traveling abroad during the months of March and April and seeking a responsible tenant to take care of the home and enjoy everything it has to offer. Able to accommodate flexible dates, message me with any questions!
