Yes it’s older but the size of the room and the accommodating staff is amazing not to mention the breakfast as well! This is our 3rd time staying here and we love it and will continue to stay when we go down to visit family! It’s a wonderful location easy to get downtown for fun but far away from to feel safe !

Most impressed with the very comfortable mattress, soft and absorbent towels, and good water pressure of the shower. My only suggestion is to update the lobby to making it more welcoming. Overall, it's a well-maintained property despite its age.

My likes: the staff is very friendly and helpful. I was told where things were even though I have been there 5 times lol. Dog friendly, and a couple of the staff wanted to pet my fur babies. The ladies must have smelled good because the male dog didn't bark he loves women. It's always clean and quiet. Lots of space outside to walk the dogs, places to eat, hospital close by and movie theater, Walmart, dollar tree,auto zone if you like to walk you can eat and shop all in the same place. If a school group is visiting there is space to park the buses. Jefferson parish sheriff office is close by. I feel safe. The staff remembered me. That made me feel welcome. Yes I will be back.

The setup in the room was amazing for our family. The room was very mildewy smelling. The door was very hard to open and you had to lift and push all your weight into it. The air conditioner would not reach into the room so you had to leave the doors open to keep the rooms cool. The paint on the wall in the bathroom was peeling. The staff was very friendly. This could be a very nice hotel if some maintenance was done.

Wonderful Staff, but the Property Needs Serious Improvements My stay at the Marriott in New Orleans was a mix of good and disappointing experiences. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, but the property is in desperate need of renovations and deep cleaning. On our first night, I had to change rooms twice. The first room had a terrible odor, and the second room was hot with a door that wouldn’t close or lock properly. I settled for the third room because I honestly didn’t think it would get any better. The carpets and furniture were visibly dirty, and the rooms had an unpleasant smell that became worse when the AC was running. The pool was full of leaves daily and didn’t appear to be cleaned regularly. The exterior could also use pressure washing or fresh paint. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, and the shower water pressure was amazing! Special thanks to Steve, the night front desk clerk, for being so helpful and patient, and Latasha, the housekeeping supervisor, who was wonderful and checked on us daily. Both deserve recognition for their outstanding customer service. Overall, the staff deserves five stars, but the property itself falls short of Marriott standards. Management really needs to invest in renovations, cleanliness, and maintenance. The employees are doing their part, but the condition of the hotel needs serious attention.

I had everything i needed while i was staying. Breakfast was good. I was still close to all shopping and certain food places. I was still able to get to New Orleans within 15 minutes for all my late night fun. I loved it.
