Wrap Around Decks w/Beautiful View & Hot Tub

What's going to be your favorite feature? Early morning coffee while enjoying the sunrise over the surrounding hills? Late night stories around the backyard fire pit? Adirondack chairs on the wrap around deck? Frogs croaking from the lagoon? A four person hot tub on the lower patio? Hardwood floors? Cozy loft room? You'll probably have to experience it before you can really choose.

The space
We're not really sure how to describe the settings around the Grand View Cottage, so we'll just let the pictures do the talking. There's nothing quite like waking up on one of the many rolling hills of Amish Country, and sipping your morning coffee from our wrap around deck. Or maybe your idea of fun is staying up late with friends around the fire pit in the back yard, reminiscing about the days adventures in one of the most idyllic communities in the US. Take the photo tour, and dream about your next get away in Holmes County, Ohio.

- 7 minutes from the Ashery Country Store (bulk food paradise!)
- 10 minutes to Dundee Falls (a must see if you like to do a little hiking!)
- 15 minutes from downtown Walnut Creek
- 15 minutes from downtown Berlin
- 25 minutes from historic downtown Millersburg
- 30 minutes from downtown Canton

Everything is open to the guests except the use of the garage.

Other things to note
- If you don't like steps, this isn't the place for you.
- If you have young children who aren't safe around steps, this isn't the place for you.
- Please note, that this is in the country, with goats in a neighboring field (seasonal),frogs in a close by lagoon, and crickets galore. If nature sounds freak you out, this isn't the place for you.

The Grand View Cottage is at the back end of a private road, that is off of a township road, that comes off of a county road. In other words, you're not going to need to worry about heavy traffic noise or interruptions. Unless of course the sound of the occasional horse and buggy clipping along sounds like heavy traffic noise to you. Amazing view over wooded hills and farmland. Absolutely breathtaking.

Getting around
I'm afraid there's no option for public transportation around here. Uber would probably inform you that you must have fallen off the map. But there is plenty of free parking for all of the vehicles in your entourage, both big or small.

Great little place!

Cute and unique little cottage, the kids loved running up and down the stairs! (If you have a crawler or toddler the stairs would be a challenge, there are no baby gates.) We will definitely be back when we need another get away close to home!

Great place to stay!

Me and my mom traveled here to celebrate her birthday and visit Amish country! This was a great place to stay. Despite a couple of houses being close, it was very private and quiet! The house was clean and so cute and the hot tub with an amazing view was the cherry on top! Definitely plan to return in the future!

Great option for Taos

Very happy with our stay. Ski in and ski out, Roomy, good sleeping arrangements. 2 bathrooms. Everything you would want in a ski condo.

Breathtaking views

Everything was as described in the listing. Very relaxing experience with a peaceful setting. We also enjoyed the daily visits from the goats and the chocolate chip cookies upon our arrival. Only thing that would have made it spectacular would be another bathroom and less stairs. Lol Host was very prompt and pleasant. Hope to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Relaxing!

The view was certainly grand! We enjoyed the porch and the hot tub! The sweet mama goat and her babies were fun to interact with. There were even goat treats. You are close to beautiful neighboring properties but the owners thought about privacy with the hot tub and backyard space. The only suggestions I would have would be to provide some shampoo/body wash, etc. and put in a dishwasher for more convenience. It was a lovely, well kept property.

Awesome view!

This is the second time we have stayed here. The view is so relaxing. We got to see the goats this trip and got to feed them. Each female goat had babies. They were so fun to watch as little goats are so comical as they play with each other. The location is quiet, just the right place to recharge. There is a wrap around deck you can sit on and watch the sun come up as you sip a cup of coffee. We will be back!

Relaxing time

We had a wonderful time staying here. We had been previously and were impressed with the property as well as the hospitality from the owners. This time was no exception. It was clean and welcoming and the chocolate cookies were a very nice touch! The view is beautiful and the goats were a lot of fun. And almost three years after our first visit (our first trip as a couple) we got engaged on the balcony! With the goats watching on. It was perfect. Thank you. We will be back!

R&R Headquarters!

If you are wondering if you should stay here… the answer is yes! We were looking for a beautiful place to do nothing and that’s exactly what we got. Complete peace and quiet with only the sounds of goats, frogs, crickets and the occasional trot of a horse. It was absolutely magical! Cons. I was not expecting it to be RIGHT BESIDE two half million dollar homes. If this cottage was surround by land instead of homes it would have been so perfect. We hiked, visited local markets, and noticed lots of fall festivals in the area! No coffee nearby on Sunday morning folks! Just fyi! Lol. Brew your own! Next time I decide to quit my next toxic corporate job after 15 years… I’ll definitely be back! But hopefully before then!!! Much needed, and so grateful for this beautiful little cottage!
