"What a great cabin and get-a-way for us! Pictures don’t do the cabin justice inside or out! Prepare yourself to be wowed! The location of the cabin is perfect, high above the river below, perched perfectly in an open clearing. The sights/sounds are incredible w/ views of the starry sky at night, listening to the rumblings of squirrels running in the adjacent forests in the day, or watching the sun set from the screened in porch or from the amazing hot tub! The location is secluded/private, so much peace & quiet, leaving all the noise from the world behind.The cabin is welcoming & has everything you would need & more. You can tell the owners have spent time thinking of everything and keep it in top notch condition! So many different gathering spots whether it be in the comfy living room to watch television, or in the kitchen playing games at the table, or on the screened in porch to breathe in the fresh air & just relax, but also 2 other outside covered porches outside each bedroom, to the hot tub to relax tired muscles! Rustic but with modern touches.There are speakers in the living room, on the screened in porch & out near the hot tub so we had Christmas music playing day/night & loved this feature a lot! We spent the majority of our time playing board games & cards at the kitchen table, a favorite past time of ours!Communication with the owner was seamless. This is a must experience cabin. Thanks again for sharing such a special place with us!!"

"This was our first time staying at this location, and we absolutely loved it! We truly fell in love with the place—it's hard to imagine a place with a better-stocked kitchen. We appreciated the great cookware, a wide variety of utensils and cutlery, glasses, spices, and even coffee beans. We especially enjoyed the large deck and outdoor patio set. The only small issues were a few dead flies in the upstairs bedrooms, which made it look a bit unkempt—like something out of "Lords of the Flies," with dead flies on the window sills and floors. It made us wonder when the upstairs area was last cleaned or inspected. A couple of friendly suggestions: adding TVs in the bedrooms, perhaps a tabletop fireplace to cozy up around the patio when enjoying the deck space, and installing a fence or border around the fire pit area for added safety where the ground drops off. We will be coming back for sure!!! "

"It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway! The cabin is close enough to go do things-West Jefferson, hiking, breweries, etc. but secluded enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The kitchen is packed with all the cooking necessities so we made all our meals at the cabin. Our dog also enjoyed the big yard and beautiful deck to nap on. 10/10 would stay here again. "

The listing is accurate—definitely take note that an AWD or 4WD vehicle is necessary to access the cabin comfortably, especially if the weather isn't ideal. Overall, a perfect escape. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect in nature. "
