About this property
Spacious 1,300 sf 3-bedroom apartment, minutes to Newark Airport EWR
Welcome to this spacious (1,300 sf / 120 m2) and private apartment on the second floor of a multi-family home in a convenient area. Newark International Airport (EWR) is a short distance away. Hospital, bus, and convenience stores within walking distance. Each bedroom has a work desk and chair — a perfect work from home setup. There is also a separate office, a large kitchen, and a living room. Private terrace off of the office area. No parties, events, or smoking -- strictly enforced.
This is the entire second floor of a 3-story house. Each floor is its own private apartment.
You can walk or drive around the neighborhood quite easily. Street parking is not too difficult and there are no permits necessary for street parking. Please pay attention to any posted parking restrictions (e.g. street cleaning) as we cannot be responsible for your vehicle parked on the street. Thank you.
This is a historic neighborhood with mostly working families living there. Weequahic Park nearby is large and has many places to walk, jog, ride bikes, play tennis, and there is also a golf course there.
NJ Transit Bus No. 107 stops 6 blocks away from the house and takes you to 42nd St Manhattan NYC in about 40 minutes. The bus costs $8 per person. You can use NJ Transit Bus No. 39 to reach Newark Penn Station in about 20 minutes and it costs $3.00 per person. NJ Transit Bus No. 37 connects you with Newark Airport (EWR) and takes about 15 minutes and costs $3.00 per person. Please check the New Jersey Transit website for updated bus pricing. The amenities that are listed at the time you book the unit are the amenities provided. Please review this list of amenities before booking.
Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival.
The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. No one will be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and we will not give refunds if you have issues checking in after 11:00 pm. Early check-in and late check-out are not available. The property does not have luggage storage.
There is 1 parking space available in the driveway and the cost is $20 per night to use it. We have multiple units in the building so please inquire if you are interested in parking and we will let you know if it is available. The space may not be available during your travel dates so please check with us before booking. Parking needs to be paid in advance by Zelle or bank transfer or it will not be reserved for you.
Please also note that this apartment is located in an older building. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the building. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place close to New York City and Newark Airport (EWR), this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.
A few things to know before you book:
To keep our homes safe and welcoming for everyone, all guests complete a quick verification before arrival — we’ll reach out by email or text with the simple steps once you’ve booked, so please complete it before you travel.
Guests are also asked to either purchase a damage waiver or leave a refundable security deposit, and to sign a short rental agreement. A valid credit or debit card is required; if you’re paying us directly by card, we’ll ask for a photo of the front and back and a signed credit card authorization form, and the name on the reservation, card, and ID should match. Please also have a valid, current government-issued ID ready — if it’s expired we won’t be able to approve the stay, and no refund applies in that case. Additional charges may apply.
Have any questions? Just reach out — we’re always happy to help!
BOOKING REQUIREMENTS: All guests must complete a signed rental agreement, ID verification, security deposit, and credit card authorization prior to check-in. Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).
If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.
Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.

Property Wasn’t Bad For The Price. The Area Is Definitely In The Hood. But The Property Was Nice All Together For The Price That We Paid. Walks Need To Be Cleaned And They Should Put Wash Cloths To Go Along With The Towels That Were Provided. I’ll Give Them A 3.8 Out Of 5. Not A Bad Place To Stay If You’re Used To Being In The Hood. The People Were Nice And Friendly Though. So You Can Speak And Say Wassup If You’re Visiting From Down South Lol
My experience here was horrible. The walls were super dirty and there were holes in the walls in almost every room. I saw a mouse in the kitchen. I paid the fee for wifi and contacted the host, I got no response and never received wifi all 5 days I was there. We ran out of toilet paper almost immediately and there were no extra rolls anywhere leading us to going out and purchasing our own. The other tenants in the building were super loud late at night. Price was cheap but i recommend just spending the extra money on a nice place.
