A home away from home. This well-equipped, 4-5 bedroom house boasts a panoramic lake view and large landscaped front and back gardens. Located in peaceful countryside, with traditional villages and pubs only a few miles away, this is a perfect base for touring the Shannon, Limerick and Galway regions - with historic sites, the unique Burren landscape, the cliffs of Moher and ferries to the Aran Islands only 30-40 mins drive away. In easy access are excellent golf courses, great fishing, horse riding and great surfing beaches. Inside a welcoming kitchen with wood burning stove, large dining table and bright spacious open-plan living, makes this house ideal for holidays with family and friends.

Amazing Property
My wife and I cancelled our hotels and booked this house for 7 days and it was so amazing that we booked and extra day and changed our flights to fly out of Shannon instead of driving back up to Northern Ireland and taking ferry back to Edinburgh. We are coming back to Ireland in 2027 and will definitely try to book this beautiful home again. We took day trips to Dublin etc. Gillian was great.

Convenient location for west Ireland adventure
My wife, our daughter, her significant other, and our two grandsons travelled to Ireland for a 5 night stay, followed by 4 days in England. For our time in Ireland, we booked our stay at this property at New ark et on Fergus, as it was centrally located for our day trips to the west and southwest regions of Ireland. The property was close to the Shannon airport, close to pubs, and grocery stores, and reasonably close to access to the motorways. We spent most of our days driving around Ireland, so the home was used primarily for sleeping, and a quick bite to eat in the morning before beginning our day’s adventure, and for our purposes, the property was just right. The property was clean and properly prepared prior to our arrival, the host provided written instructions for getting to the home from the airport, as well as all of the information needed to get into the home, the wifi password, how to operate the television, and so on. Overall, everything worked out just as we had hoped. Just wish we had a few more days to spend in Ireland - it was delightful.

We were two families, 4 adults and 5 children ages 14-6, traveling together to visit Ireland and to see friends and family living in the Ennis and Limerick area. This was a great location as our base. We were able to enjoy cooking breakfasts each morning then spending days exploring wonderful areas, before returning to relax in the evenings. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean, and worked very well for us. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing home
This home was perfect for my family. The location provided easy access for all of the locations we wanted to visit. The house has everything a family could need and a great layout that not only provides areas we could gather as a family but also plenty of space for my wife and I as well as our teenage children to have their privacy. We had a wonderful time staying at Gillian's property in Newmarket on Fergus. It was very quiet and comfortable for our family group of eight. The house is equipped with all the necessities and quite a few extras. Communication with Gillian was great prior to and during our stay. The house is close to Bunratty Castle and the Quin Abbey (built in early 1400's). The town of Ennis, about 20 minutes away, has shopping, great restaurants & nightlife. It is a relatively short drive to Cliffs of Moher & Doolin as well as the ferry to the Aran Islands. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Ireland.

Wonderful and quiet
A lovely peaceful place to stay. As said by other reviewers the photos don't do it justice and are a bit dated. It's more relaxing staying in a family home than a pristine luxury place. There was no shortage of crockery or cutlery and other items you'd expect. The only slight disappointment is that you have to drive to the nearest place to eat. But this is more thanmafe up by the location. Access to the Lough is a very short walk and the children had took great delight in pond dipping there. The garden is a delight and we all enjoyed playing hide and seek. A lovely place to stay.
