Perfect Location

From the moment we booked the property, until we left we had a great stay. Chris, the property manager, was great, he even gave us recommendations on where to eat. The property is located right off the Main Street so it’s a quick walk to the main downtown area or a 20 min walk to the mansions. The place comes with parking which is a plus for Newport. If we come back we are definitely staying here again.

Awesome location - Close to everything

My friends and I stayed here for a late summer weekend. The proximity to all the best spots on Thames is unbeatable. Would happily recommend to any groups visiting Newport.

Great location, huge space good for families and groups

Enjoyed our stay at this converted store into residence. Place is massive with plenty of space in all three bedrooms. Located super conveniently to tons to do on Thames and a short drive to the Mansions and other cool beaches and such.

Bachelorette trip for the books!

We had the best time staying at this location. The host was easy to communicate with, checked us in early, and even brought brand new towels! The location is absolutely perfect to get around. The place was clean and huge! Definitely worth booking here for your next Newport trip!!!!

Great spot, responsive owner

We just came home from a short getaway in Newport, RI over our kids' holiday break. The space was lovely-comfortable, well-stocked, and in a great spot, easily accessible to the Wharf and mansions. Chris was responsive, thoughtful in his recommendations and really went the extra mile! I highly recommend this VRBO rental property and Newport generally!

Perfect get away

Super location in Newport

Lots of space in a great location just a short walk from great restaurants and waterfront. Made it easy for my family to hang out together. October in Newport is beautiful and this was a great find for us when we came for my son’s commissioning at Naval Station Newport.

Wintery stay in Newport

Overall we enjoyed our stay a bit down the road from the busy part of Thames St, although we would have appreciated better communication leading up to check-in. While the apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, with a very useful kitchen, the noise coming each night from the crowd leaving the bar across the street was a lot.

Awesome location and space

This is a very large former storefront with plenty of space! Amenities were great, the host Chris, was responsive, and our stay was great! I appreciated the fabulous A/C in the bedrooms!

Spacious first floor apartment

Owner was friendly and helpful. Very nice to deal with. The place had a musty odor and lower back bathroom shower was strange so we didn’t use it. Great location to cliff walk, mansions restaurants and shopping. Ample parking.

Nice Neighborhood

Our stay in Newport was very comfortable in the three bedroom, two bath space. The kitchen and living room were just as pictured and in great shape. Parking across the street was a great bonus. The third bedroom (downstairs) was very spacious, but a bit drafty since it opened to an unheated storage area and outside. The second bath shower was tiny for my 6'3" frame. Great restaurants, and coffee shops close by. Chris is a wonderful host.

Weekend wedding

Stayed her for a weekend destination wedding in our family. The unit is spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Check in process was super easy, the location is great and the off street parking was a real bonus. Only drawback it was a little noisy at night because the unit is street level and there’s a bar across the street that emptied out into the street at closing time

Perfect location!

This location is absolutely perfect - a short walk to all the best bars and shops in Newport. The kitchen and dining room area are great for a group. The bedrooms could use some updating. One of the rooms is set down in what looks like it was once a garage of sorts? The unit also doesn’t have much ventilation so it’s a bit musty and had a little bit of a strange smell.

Ladies Weekend

Property mgr Chris very attentive to our needs. Unfortunately the cleaning company did not change the bedding but Chris was able to come through for us! Overall, was a nice place to stay, very spacious and a good location- everything is within walking distance.

Perfect location away from the bustle of downtown but convenient to restaurants, shops and water taxi. Chris was super responsive. Everything is as advertised. We loved the local eateries. Some street noise at night so light sleepers should stay in middle bedroom. Overall perfect for two teens and two couples!

Everything you need

Great location with off street parking. Easy communication with the manager. We arrived a bit early and were able to have access right away. The apartment was stocked with essentials; the kitchen & both bathrooms were equipped with everything you would need. Location was within walking distance to everything...Cliff Walk, mansions, shops and restaurants...yet far enough away from all the hustle and bustle, so a bit more quiet. We enjoyed our stay in Newport!

Nice Apartment. Good Location.

Communication with Chris was easy. Apartment is on the ground floor, just a few blocks from the main downtown area. A little noisy at night with a bar across the street, but otherwise excellent. Nice big living room with large TV screen. Bedrooms all very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Apartment was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious Newport Condo in a Prime Location

Everything was perfect from start to finish! Chris was very friendly and attentive and made check in seamless. The apartment has more than enough room for 5 adults. It was very clean and modern. One of the bedrooms had its own bathroom and was like it's own separate apartment. The location was perfect: close to everything but away from the traffic. It was also great to have a large parking lot as parking in Newport can be tough. Shops, restaurants were within walking distance. It was very close to Cliff Walk, the beach, Fort Adams...It was a perfect fit for us, and we'd definitely be happy to stay there again. I'd highly recommend it!

Awesome stay on Thames Street!

Had a great stay at this property! Very convenient location. Plenty of room for our group of 5. Check in with property manager Chris was very easy. Beds and couches were comfy. We didn't really utilize the kitchen, but were happy with the size and seating. Only feedback is that it can be a smidge loud at times, being right on the street on the first floor. Especially the bedroom with two beds, as the windows face the street. We could hear and see the light from the bar across the street at night. The Newport Marathon happened to be the weekend we were staying (didn't realize), and we heard spectators cheering right next to our window that morning! Not a huge deal at all, but perhaps put your sensitive sleepers in the bedrooms farther back.

Thames Street Apartment

We had a great time and Chris the property manager was great. They did a good job converting a store into an apartment. Maybe add flowers outside for more curb appeal. The space was spacious and great for 4 people. I would suggest updating the dishes, glasses, linens, towels, lighting, bathroom mirror, along with better cleaning in the small bathroom to support the high cost of the unit. Also, add curtains in the front bedroom to help with the street lights and noise. Thanks

Great value, cozy home.

Loved the style of this place and the character it has from being what appears to be an old storefront. So cute and cozy. The beds were just ok, the lower level bedroom could use a mattress topper. We ran out of hot water after 3 showers, which made getting 5 adults out the door in the morning challenging, and a small issue since the rental can accommodate 8. We moved the couch accidentally when my daughters leaned against it and found a piece of old meat under it, which is why the 4 stars for cleanliness. The place seemed clean otherwise. Well stocked with paper goods, soap, etc. We loved the comfy couches and big tv. Perfect for a Christmas movie with the family. Parking was a nice perk. Location is good. It’s just outside of the busy part of town, but across from a bar. That being said, we only heard one patron leaving the bar loudly. Otherwise, it’s pretty quiet. It’s close enough to walk to the wharves and the mini mart just a short walk away was very convenient. Overall, I would recommend this apartment and would stay again.
