By the river you may see goosander and common sandpiper, with teals, snipe and water rails in the riverside meadows. In the autumn, whooper swans and goldeneye arrive from the Arctic. A raised platform gives good views out over the river where otter are often seen.

Had an excellent stay at the lovely cottage Low Cordorcan.
Had an excellent stay at the lovely cottage Low Cordorcan. Lovely welcome, very clean cottage with everything you need. Loved the bird feeder, watching Woodpeckers and Jays, had foxes and barn owls in the garden. Great central point for getting round Dumfries and Galloway. Would definitely recommend.
