This is a beautiful, serene and very enjoyable hotel. The beach is lovely with views from everywhere. My room was spacious, quiet and well furnished with a lovely balcony and spectacular beach view. I loved both the evening and the morning ambience. The restaurant offers a varied menu with excellent service and high quality food. I’m sorry I couldn’t stay longer. Well done everyone, thank you. I would very happily return.

The hotel itself is nice, beautiful surroundings and views. The room are clean. The only downpoint is the hotel only allows uber to drop guests not to collect guests from thw hotel, or you pay the triple of the price charged by an uber to a hotel driver or you have to walk to the street to the main road to get your taxi. Thats what happened to me, I don't like to feel coerced to do something. So I had to walk on street with my big luggage to get an uber, as they dont allow guest to have freedom of choice how they want to go around. I travelled over 30 countries stayed in 1 to 5 stars hotel and NEVER had this kind of experience.

We booked the premium suite for a 3 night stay recently. The room was in a good condition and the balcony was huge with a great view! Amenities were good, however there was hardly any pressure in the shower. Light switches are very inconveniently located behind the bed head and hard to reach! And there are too many of them - we had to call housekeeping to help us switch off a light the first night as we couldn't licate the switch! The buffet breakfast included was quite average - we had better breakfast at cheaper properties during our trip. Staff was very courteous but service was slow and language was a problem with some staff not really fluent in Hindi or English. We noticed quite a few international guests at the property so I think it would be good to have staff at the front desk that is fluent in English. Overall, for the price we paid, I think we could've got better properties.

Very good stay for two nights at Travancore heritage resort. all rooms at the traditional Kerala ambience. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Very clean rooms, extremely helpful and courteous stuff. also liked the fact that it is walkable from the beach and from the Shiva temple. One thing to note is, the property is built on many levels, and has many steep slopes to claim to go from your room to reception. May not be suitable for older folks.

Stunning lodge style hotel - perfect for relaxing

It has a beautiful, if perhaps a little remote, cliff top location, but there is easy access to a massive and popular beach. The hotel is stunning, if you stay in the Heritage Lodges, and the main hotel and restaurant is gorgeous. The main pool is superb, the bach pool not quite so good. Lovely gardens and fabulous staff. A really nice choice if you are in or near Kovalam

Ich kenne das Travancore schon einige Jahre. Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichem Personal, hervorragendem Essen, schönem Strand mit Bademeistern und der Möglichkeit, Ayurveda Anwendungen zu machen. Eine sehr gute Möglichkeit, um in Indien anzukommen. Allerdings sollte man darauf achten, dass das Zimmer weit genug weg von der Kirche am Strand liegt. Diese fängt teilweise um 5 Uhr mit dem in Indien üblichen Gottesdienst über den Lautsprecher an.

Nothing like the Expedia listing - the accommodation was terrible, even after we insisted on changing rooms. It's much smaller than advertised, it's dark, dingy, dated. We booked a Heritage Premium on the basis that it had a separate seating area - our first room didn't have anything, just a bed. Our second room had a windowless entrance hall with a wardrobe in, and no air conditioning in that room so not possible to sit there. Facilities - one of the two outdoor pools was nice and clean. Apart from that, there's very little. Facilities on Expedia page that DON'T EXIST - no indoor pools, no grocery/convenience store, no fitness facilities, no rooftop terrace, no health club, 1 restaurant not 3, no 24hr room service. If the above had actually been there, or if the listing on Expedia was accurate, I'd have felt better. However, based on the information I'd booked on, and the amount I paid, I feel very short changed. I could have booked a much better hotel for the same money. Another issue with the Expedia listing is it shows 1200 rupees as the fee for the airport shuttle - the hotel tried to charge us 1400 and only reduced it down to 1200 after about 15 mins of arguing. The only reason I've rated this property as poor rather than terrible is because the food was brilliant. Made my feelings clear to management - they did not care. Says it all really!

Cleanliness and decor are average. Layout of furniture particularly to facilitate room service could improve. Functioning of AC was erratic and the fan regulator was defective in both rooms 44 & 45. Overall pretty good. However my over complaint is that I had emailed the property to upgrade my room and they has informed me that they would. However we discovered that they had not blocked off the upgrades. Slightly disappointing. Bed was not very comfy. Pool was to chlorinated and resulted in facial rashes. Wait times for meals were pretty lengthy. All that aside, pretty good! 3.5/5 stars
