"I stayed in the Family Ocean View room for 2 nights. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there were a few things you should know before booking.➕ The Pros:Great room: To my surprise, the room was very clean, neat, and spacious since it is actually two connecting rooms.Friendly staff: The hotel team was super helpful and welcoming.Good location: It’s located down an alley, but it’s still very convenient—just a short walk and a street cross to get to the beach.➖ The Cons:Dated lobby & smell: The hotel looks a bit old when you first walk in, and the old carpets have a bit of a smell.Slow elevator: Only one elevator goes up to the 29th floor, so the wait time is long. I usually took the other elevator to the 28th floor and walked up the stairs to save time.Small pool: The swimming pool is quite small, so my family didn't use it.Disappointing view: On Expedia, the photos showed a wide, panoramic ocean view from both rooms. However, our view was mostly blocked by a building in front. It felt more like a partial view than a real ocean view.💡 Quick Tip: If you book the Family Ocean View room, make sure to message the hotel ahead of time and ask them to avoid rooms 4 and 5."

"The resort service was good and the staff were generally helpful. However, the villas are starting to show their age. Some of the floor laminates show signs of water damage, and the electrical sockets are worn out. Overall, the villas could benefit from some upgrades and refurbishment. Aside from the services offered by Vinpearl, there aren’t many options from independent vendors. Only a few convenience stores are operating in the colorful buildings, while the rest remain empty and have not yet been furnished. If you’re looking for a quiet beach getaway where you can simply relax, this is a good place to stay. However, if you want to experience local food and the local nightlife, I would recommend staying on the mainland instead."

"Rooms need a deep clean, mold can be found in parts of the room including wardrobe. Linen also well passed its use by date and time for a change. Be prepared to smell cigarette smoke in the hallways as there are a lot of tourists from one country that choose to smoke inside their rooms with the doors open. Otherwise rooms are large and clean enough with helpful staff. Just don't expect a 5 star experience as it is a solid 3.5 star intl hotel exp."
