Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls

"Although the room is as clean both the body gel and shampoo dispensers were not working. One of the attendants gave me a bar of soap which was ok. As we stayed two days, when I tried to wash my hair the shampoo was not working either… it was too late to ask but I did tell the front desk. I think the receptionist thought I wanted a discount which was not the case, but did not sound that concerned. Also the washroom light was not working (one of them) and it started flickering… Finally. We did like the view… the room was very good. I would not suggest the observation area on the 14th floor as it needs slot of upkeep."

"My son enjoyed the pool which was kept at a good temperature. Very close to all of the tourist attractions in the area. We walked to the Skylon Tower and back. Felt good to take a break from driving everywhere. Would recommend and stay again ourselves. Would be nice if they included a breakfast, especially for the price we paid."
