White Oaks Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"I was celebrating my birthday and asked for an earlier check in. They gladly obliged, and checked me in @11am. From champagne at dinner to chocolate dipped strawberries at brunch to gift at the spa. They went above and beyond. The bellman was so polite and pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning ."

Riverbend Inn and Vineyard

8/10 Good

"I was disappointed that for both nights we were there, the restaurant was closed for dinner for private events. We were looking forward to dining there. I didn’t understand how she shuttle schedule works. We were once told to wait 1.5hrs for a ride into town, yet the shuttle SUV was just sitting there. Besides that one time, the shuttle service worked great. We had room 209 and the receptacles by the night tables were at the extreme far corners of the room, so you couldn’t charge your phone and use it if you wanted to. They should replace the night table lamps with ones that come with integrated receptacles so that guests can plug in their devices right on the night table. The walk along the river was very nice but the staff should not send the guests to walk to town on the road closer to the river as there is no pathway there, we literally walked beside the road, which is not safe. Instead, they should direct guests to use the pathway turning left at the end of the driveway across the road which does have a pedestrian pathway. It would be nice to be able to use the fireplace for ambiance and not just be the only source of heat. We couldn’t use the fireplace because that would imply turning off the AC. The walk to Peller Estates thru the field was nice. Overall, we would stay there again and hopefully next time we can dine there."
