Lovely setting and peaceful getaway

First of all dealing with Anthony was a pleasure. Secondly the peace and quiet is second to none with incredible views from the pool area. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

In deze villa is echt van alles aanwezig. Zwembad was niet beschikbaar, wat een verrassing was. Het was overigens ook niet warm genoeg, maar als dat wel het geval was geweest hadden we dus pech gehad. Huis eigenaar is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Heeft ons naar het huis begeleid en pizzeria voor ons gereserveerd. En tussendoor geïnformeerd of alles naar wens was. Misschien hadden wij pech, maar de honden in de buurt waren ‘s nacht vrij luidruchtig. Als je vooral lekker wilt relaxen bij zwembad is dit een prima plek. Als je iets wilt zien moet je toch wel vrij ver rijden.

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft

Ein tolles, vollausgestattetes Haus mit privatem Pool auf eingezäuntem, grossen Grundstück. Der Vermieter Antonino ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und gibt viele gute Tipps. Die Lage ist mitten auf der Insel, sodass viele besuchenswerte Ziele gut erreichbar sind. Ein Fahrzeug ist unbedingt nötig. Supermarkt ist in der Nähe, ebenso das Dorf Leonforte mit Restaurants und Bars. Das Haus ist voll klimatisiert und besitzt einen grossen Garten. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad in deze luxe, rustig gelegen vakantievilla. Hoewel het huis op het eiland meer op het platteland gelegen is, is het een prima vertrekpunt om Sicilië te ontdekken. We hebben genoten van de hele grote tuin met olijfbomen en cactussen en het heerlijke zwembad met fantastisch uitzicht. Als we minpunten zouden moeten opnoemen; is dat het huis slechter afgewerkt is met bijvoorbeeld open leidingen en dat het bed echt aan vervanging toe is. Alle complimenten voor de ontzettend lieve huiseigenaar die ons gelijk thuis liet voelen, een aantal keer geholpen heeft met vragen, regelmatig appte of we nog wat nodig hadden, het zwembad eerder opende vanwege het mooie weer en ons en onze dochter op zondag verwende met Siciliaans gebak. We hebben oprecht nog nooit zo'n huiseigenaar meegemaakt. We hebben genoten van een heerlijke vakantie!

Super Locatie!!! De foto's liegen er niet voor, het is een rustig gelegen niet al te grote villa inclusief zwembad met een prachtig uitzicht! De eigenaar Tony is een uiterst vriendelijke en behulpzame man. Wie houdt van wat afgelegen en minder drukke toeristische ligging vindt hier zeker zijn ding! Bij aankomst bleek het huis spijtig genoeg nog niet helemaal afgewerkt te zijn. In eerste instantie waren we hierdoor wel wat aangedaan en werd er gedacht om Belvilla te contacteren voor een ingebrekestelling. Maar de eigenaar heeft alles in zijn macht gedaan om dit zo goed mogelijk op te lossen.  Aangezien Tony het zo erg vond dat wij, als eerste huurders, zo moesten aankomen heeft hij ons extra verwend. Zondagmorgen super lekkere koffiekoekjes komen brengen. Ons tweemaal meegenomen om het naastliggend stadje, Leonforte, te leren kennen. Eén maal om het avondleven en plaatselijke lekkernijen te leren kennen en éénmaal om de oude pittoreske binnenstad te bezichtigen. Ook zijn tips, om uit te gaan eten op de beste plaatsen of om historische monumenten te bezoeken, waren zeer terecht. Heeft zelfs het poetsgeld, verbruikskosten en linnen toeslag laten vallen ter compensatie. Als alle kamers volledig afgewerkt zijn en alle kleine detail puntjes opgelost zijn wordt deze villa nog meer de moeite waard. De eigenaar ging deze zaken zo snel mogelijk in orde maken waar wij ook het volledige vertrouwen in hebben. Het zwembad is  een 20 tal meter van het huis af. Om deze te bereiken moet men de toch wat steile oprit gebruiken. Dit geeft echter wel het fenomenale uitzicht en maakt het hierdoor meer privé... De afgelegen en centrale ligging in Sicilië zijn voor degene die van rust houden een pluspunt. De taal is hierdoor wel een probleem als je geen google-vertaler hebt of geen Italiaans spreekt. Het is goedkoper uit eten en winkelen dan aan de toeristische bad -en grote steden maar er wordt geen Engels of ander taal  gesproken. Een auto is zeker noodzakelijk. Nissoria en vlakbij gelegen Leonforte bieden voldoende kleinere winkels maar voor een Lidl of Mcdonald's bijvoorbeeld moet je een half uurtje rijden over kronkelige bergbanen om er te geraken. Voor ons persoonlijk ook altijd een beetje reizen met prachtige uitzichten en best leuke baantjes voor wie graag met de auto rijdt (wel jammer van het veel aan zwerfvuil op de verschillende pechstroken). Pluspunt van de centrale ligging is dat je bijna nooit langer dan 2 uurtjes moet rijden om alle prachtige uithoeken van het eiland te kunnen gaan bezichtigen. Kortom, wij gaan zeker terug om het mooie Sicilië met zijn verschillende stranden en historische bezienswaardigheden verder te verkennen. Maar vooral om de huiseigenaar, zoon en echtgenote nogmaals te ontmoeten en om de villa te kunnen zien in zijn volledige glorie. De start was wat moeizaam maar voor de rest een ontzettend leuke vakantie gehad! Vele groeten Rudy en Daisy, Willy en Marina...
