reservation was prepaid a month in advance. They didn't have us on the books for the correct day nor the correct number of days. We were told we couldn't check in until 1pm due to their error. I chose this hotel for their 24 hour check in policy. It wasn't until I was actually dialing the hotline for hotel.com that miraculously a room was found. The TV didn't work, the mini-fridge barely kept water chilled, the shower had a really slow drain, we wanted a double bed, got twin beds instead. We were told if we wanted a room with a double bed (like I had reserved!) and a functioning room we'd have to pay for the upgrade. The hotel made it clear that we had already been "upgraded" by 1,200 baht - regardless of the fact it was due to their error or that the unit we were given wasn't fully functional. They then proceeded to pad expenses to recoup their "1,200 baht upgrade!" We ordered from the menu - was told a 70 baht item wasn't available - but we were charged for it anyway. Then, on the scooter rental, again we were overcharged. (2 days for the price of 5) -- within 1 hour of checking in- the hotel had blocked me on Facebook. It's like they had already decided that they were going to get a bad review - from there it was all about getting their '1200 baht' upgrade cost back.
