Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"The resort is clean and less crowded than many of the others on the same strip. The pool bar is great and the beach was wonderful, hardly any corral or rocks. Decent snorkeling. There was a jetty which is really nice, especially if you have kids and they want fish, You would need to have your own pole or rent one. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was very spacious and clean. Had a wonderful view of the ocean. Restaurants were basic , we didn’t eat at the more expensive seafood restaurant but the bar restaurant was so so and overpriced. We paid over $200 and we basically got burgers, wings, and one drink in total for one of us. There are much nicer restaurants in the same price zone close by. We did have an issue with our washer and dryer unit the last night. We were trying to complete some laundry before flying out the next day we asked for assistance from maintenance and they never showed up. Luckily, we use the common washer dryer units the next morning to dry our clothes before we left. If you’re OK with walking, you can get to some of the shopping options across the street, but some of the resorts further north are more convenient to the shops and restaurants across the street from the hotels. Overall, the resort was nice. The island was easy, especially the airport. They do show casinos as if they were part of the Divi Phoenix., there is no casino at this resort but there are casinos within a 10 to 15 minute walk though. They are very small."

"Room was clean and daily service met my standards. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast at Corals was great and convenient. Beach and pool area are within walking distance. Been here multiple times and would return."

"Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the hotel. One thing that could definitely be improved is the requirement to sign a receipt every time you order food or drinks, even though the resort is all-inclusive. Having to stop and sign paperwork throughout the day becomes inconvenient and takes away from the relaxing vacation experience. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at the Sea Breeze restaurant with a waiter named Juan Sebastian. We were dining with our family, including a 3-year-old child, and it took a very long time before he even came to our table to offer us water or take our order. Once the food arrived, several items were incorrect. My husband and I both ordered our steaks well done, but they were served very undercooked and red inside. We could not eat them. My daughter ended up eating my steak, while my husband returned his completely untouched because it was not cooked as requested. The most frustrating part was that Juan Sebastian still charged us for the steak that had been returned because it was prepared incorrectly, so we ended up paying for a meal that was never eaten. He also tried to charge another member of our table who had the all-inclusive package. We had to strongly object before he finally removed that charge. A simple apology and a willingness to correct the mistakes would have made a huge difference. Instead, the entire interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessarily stressful. "

"Nice property but if you pay for all inclusive you should be able to get a reservation at the restaurants on property for the length of your stay. We were able to get one at 8:30 pm. Everything was booked the rest of the week. We ended up going off property to eat. That was very disappointing probably wouldn’t return to this hotel for that reason"

"Excellent staff—very professional, friendly, and helpful\. The stunning beach was a highlight, and the food was really good\. The location is great, within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and stores, with good nightlife nearby, and it feels very secure\. Overall, we had a good experience\. The only downsides were that the hotel could use some updating, not all rooms have Smart TVs, and the shower water pressure was very low\ but very clean, definitely 100% recommended"

"El desayuno excelente, variado y completo. Las habitaciones impecables. La pileta está templada. Ofrecen un servicio de carrito que te lleva a la playa desde y hacia el hotel durante todo el día. En la playa tenés reposeras, sombrilla, toallas, agua fresca y colchoneta para el agua. Es mi segunda vez aquí!"

"We had a wonderful visit to the Marriott Stellaris. We would highly recommended. Staff was amazing. Full services Starbucks on site. Location was great. Walkable to the downtown area along a paved walk and beach. Plenty of food and shopping options downtown. Gianni’s Italian restaurant is very good! Plenty of activities to do. We traveled with 2 “adult” children and they had plenty during the day and night life. One piece advice, when you get there, download the BON BINI! app and go to the Towel Hut on the beach. Ask the attendant to walk you through logging in and reserving a Paplapa for the next day. Reservations open at 5p each night (for the next day) and then again at eight in the morning (for the same day), but they do go very quickly."
