So great
We loved our stay! Everything you need is at this charming house. Close to Bass Lake and not too far from Yosemite. It was so neat to have animals on the property-our kids enjoyed the “Farm life”! The hosts were hospitable, available if needed, friendly and gave great info on the surrounding area. We would return!

Trip to Yosemite
Our hosts were awesome. The accommodations were very clean and stocked with great necessities like balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, etc. Directions were clear and simple for check in/check out and spraying disinfectant on surfaces was required upon leaving- a smart touch. Kate was very available for communication and brought us farm fresh eggs, basil, and garden tomatoes which we all enjoyed immensely. The experience was welcoming and our hosts were available without being intrusive in any way, so it felt extremely private.

Quiet farm house. Beautiful views from front yard. Nice alternative to the motels in Oakhurst when visiting Yosemite. Plenty of recreation opportunities at nearby lakes. Bass Lake is about 15-20 minutes away.

Property just as described, great stay!
Property can be described as a cozy granny unit perfect for our family of three. We were very comfortable. House was clean. It is located on the same property as the main house; yet, distant enough to have privacy. Farm animals as described, but did not interfere with our stay. Overall, a nice place to stay.

This was the perfect place to be away from the 'hustle & bustle' but not isolated. Comfortable, great country environment, private area with outside space and close to convenience. Katie and Bob are terrific hosts. I'll be back!

Beautifully perfect farmhouse w/everything we needed and very cute, well taken care of, and clean. Katie and Bob were perfect hosts. I had read about the bottle of wine and fresh eggs they leave for you apon arrival, and there they were! ;) Katie had also picked us some fresh peaches too. We wanted to be close to Yosemite but accommodation prices were very expensive around the Park and it’s nearby perimeter. This property was only a 45 minute drive to the South Entrance of Yosemite, and well worth the stay as well! ;)

Wonderful place to stay
We couldn't have been happier, Katie and Bob's house was as described and even better than expected. The garden is lovely, the house was very comfortable - especially the beds and even though it was a heatwave, the house was really cool and a pleasant temperature. The information from Katie and Bob about the house, directions and suggestions for places to visit were excellent. We particularly enjoyed Manzanita Lake which is only about 5 minutes away.

Accommodations that Floridians dream about
Everything you need to enjoy a couple nights stay close to Yosemite. Comfy beds, plenty of room. Pleasant outdoor area. Loved the grill and kitchen was very well stocked. The hosts (Katie snd Bob) have a goat, chickens, and a horse. You can interact with all of them. There is soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer for your use. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us! You are about 45 minutes from Yosemite, and bring your groceries with you so that you can relax and enjoy the property. Would love to return! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Perfect little hideaway
Had everything we needed for our stay. Nice little heater to warm it up. Plenty of space even for our 2 little girls. We stayed only 1 night but I think staying a couple more nights would have been just as nice. Highly recommend. The front lawn was also soooo cute. Wish we could have enjoyed it all more. Thank you!

Cozy cottage on a rainy night.
My granddaughter and I could move in tomorrow forever. Very sweet cottage and yard. We enjoyed the bottle of wine, wrapped in a comforter with the fireplace going (we appreciated the duralog)on a rainy night. We watched Netflix until we had laughed ourselves silly. Katie was very kind and accomodating with our coming and going and late night hours visiting with family in North Fork.

Nice and neat spot
It is a nice and neat house with cute goat, chicken and horse living with you. The fresh eggs that the owner shared with us tasted very good. It is just next to a road which sometimes get a bit noisy even at night.

My family and I absolutely LOVED this adorable farmhouse! My children loved the friendly horse, goat, and chickens! My husband loved how it was “quiet and enjoyable”. And I loved how cozy, laid-back, and beautiful the property was. There were so many little touches that added to the overall experience! From the fresh eggs in the fridge, the bottle of wine that greeted us, and all the sweet country details... it all just added to the charm! My kids are already asking when we can go back! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality! We will definitely be back! 😊👍

Very nice.
We really liked the place. Everything was clean and freshly painted. We even ate on the patio off the bbq. My children loved petting the cats. They even left us a bottle of wine. The only problem was the bedroom doors wouldn't stay shut.

So unique and fun!
We traveled with our three year old and nine month old and this was perfect for them. They loved seeing the chickens and horses every day. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Perfect quiet getaway
We arrived after 9pm and found the home all ready to go with the lights on and fans running. A binder in the living room explained everything about the property very clearly and gave some suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. The home was very clean and well appointed, making it feel like a home away from home. It was so refreshing to be able to sleep with the windows open and fresh clean air providing natural cooling for the rooms. The bed was quite comfortable as well. The home is conveniently located to give you a nice starting point to explore all over the area without making a long trip back. We only wish we could have stayed longer to really enjoy the property as its very peaceful. Katie is very responsive and makes herself available to answer questions or provide other assistance as needed. A nice bottle of wine was waiting for us along with a welcome card which was a really nice touch. If we get the chance we will definitely request to book again.

Great place to enjoy Yosemite!
What a great week we had enjoying Yosemite! This cute and charming house was in a perfect location for our trip. The home is spotless, cozy and very private! It's not a bad drive to the south entrance of Yosemite and a great starting point for your days in the park. We enjoyed a day at Bass Lake and then spent the rest of the week in Yosemite. Katie was so very helpful and kind; she gave us great advice and tips for our trip. You have to enjoy the Mexican restaurant in North Fork; best authentic Mexican food!! Thank you Katie for being such a wonderful host!

Idyllic country cottage near beautiful lakes
Im English & have a certain expectation when it comes to things like towels, bed linen & overall appearance. I absolutely love this place. My family too. The cottage itself is super cute with beautiful light stresming through the windows, flowers in the garden & sweet farm animals for our kids to pet. The space is small but a great size for a family of 4. Sofa is great to sleep on if you get too hot to sleep in a full size bed with your spouse...! They even have an awesome tv setup (cable, smart tv) if you want to get some downtime after a full day's outdoor activity. And the area is fun with 2 wuiye different lakes, outstanding mexican & a very rural feel to the town. This is a very relaxing escape & they've down a nice job of giving privacy so you can really feel alone. The outdoor eating area (blue wrought iron under a sweet canopy of trees) reminded me of holidays in France. Sure, you can hear the traffic. But so what? We all just loved it here.

Charming Vintage Cottage
My cousin and I stayed at Katie's cottage on our way to Yosemite and were pleasantly surprised to find such a cozy and charming house that was filled with special touches that made our stay so enjoyable! Very charming and cozy. Loved all the vintage details. Close to Bass lake and Yosemite.
Just had a wonderful stay at this cute little house. Was welcomed with a bottle of good wine and some fresh eggs from the owners chickens. There was a nice yard space to go out and drink the wine in evening or coffee in morning. Close to Bass lake and a little bit more of a drive to the Yosemite park. Spent a great day hiking around Glacier Point. Amazing views. One thing to remember, we read there was a restaurant at Glazier Point. There is not. Just a little store. We also hiked along Willow Creek which was so pretty and the water so clear and cool. We cooked a dinner and breakfast at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed. Good enough counter space. There are only two things I can say were an issue with the house, the little air conditioner they had in living room kept that room and the bedroom pretty cool but the cool air did not reach much into kitchen so it was hotter in there. The other thing was the screend door did not close all the way so it left a little opening at the top that a few mosquitoes got in. Don't forget bug spray, which I did, cause they are out in droves in this area. All in all though this was a great little vacation, and I would defiantly recommend this cute house to anyone looking for a place to hang your hat while you explore the Yosemite park.

Quaint and homey
So well kept and in a secluded area!! Owner even provided us farm fresh eggs which were fantastic!!! Loved staying in the country but so near Yosemite. Would recommend to a couple or small family. We had a great time.

Sweet Cottage
The cottage is very sweet with old world charm. We loved staying there, it had everything we could have wanted. Before we arrived during the coldest days of the year, Katie turned on the heater to warm the house for our arrival and even was thoughtful enough to have two electric blanket in the bed we were sleeping on. Decent option if you want to stay outside the park!
The property is great, exactly as mentioned in the description. We could locate it easily. The house was clean and well arranged. We stayed for one night. The floors are a bit creaky but manageable. Overall the experience was good. There are options around to eat but they close early, so one should keep that in mind.

Hello, Thank you for your review. From our previous correspondence it sounded like you had a wonderful night in our guest house. Regarding the creak in the floors, they are real hardwood and as our posting states, it is a vintage farm house, so a creak or two can be expected. From our previous responses, our guests typically love the charm of the house and have found it very comfortable as it was just renovated. We pride our house as being an alternative to a hotel or a modern condo option and for the vast majority of our visitors it seemed to be a perfect option for those who want a quiet, unique getaway. Regarding dining, I always email a document with local suggestions. Our little town does close early, but there are lovely restaurants on Bass Lake (10 min drive) and in Oakhurst (20 min drive) that offer late night dining.
