Avista Resort is located 3 blocks from Main Street in the Ocean Drive Beach section of North Myrtle Beach. Some of the spectacular on-site amenities include oceanfront pools, lazy river, Hot Tub, kiddie pool, tiki hut, and picnic area. Indoor pool, lazy river, and whirlpool. Gym, restaurant, and bar. This 1 bedroom / 1 Bath oceanfront condo comes with 1 parking pass and features a fully equipped kitchen, DW, flat screen TVs in living room and bedroom, internet access, and an Oceanfront Balcony with access from the Living Room. New, upgraded, GE, stacked washer and dryer, April, 2023. No whirlpool in the master bathtub. Easy walking distance to Main Street with its shops, restaurants, and shag clubs. Family attractions, golf & miniature golf, amusement park, water sports & fishing are all in close driving distance to Avista Resort. We rent strictly to families and mature persons over the age of 25. McMillan Real Estate, Inc cannot rent to teenage or college age groups, even if accompanied by an older chaperone. House party groups are NOT allowed. Should a house party attempt to occupy a property, they will be denied entrance or evicted, with no refund. Properties are privately owned and reflect the individual tastes of the owner. Saturday to Saturday - Weekly Rentals Only. No Smoking allowed in Unit, balcony, or on either side of entrance. No Pets, Boats, Motorcycles, Golf Carts, Trailers, over-sized vehicles, or RV's allowed. One parking pass is allowed per one bedroom condominium at Avista. A second car may be parked (with a McMillan business card on the dashboard) behind McMillan Real Estate, Inc. office three blocks from Avista.

Rocky Start

Check in was a little confusing, we had to docu-sign an email confirming our stay and payment, even though we had already paid and if we chose not to do the docu-sign we would have had to of gone to the property management facility to check in and then go to the hotel. When we arrived the tub had a lot of black mold on the caulking, the shower walls , shower curtain, and in the jets in the tub. The door handle fell off the bedroom closet door as soon as we opened it, and in the closet there were 2 vaccums and no room to really put our stuff in the closet. The drain in the tub did not drain well and the drain in the sink in the bathroom was brokenThe smoke detectors would go off very easy as well, if we made coffee it would go off.With all of that said, I communicated with the property manager, and they sent someone out our 2nd day there and he sprayed cleaner on the mold, cleaned the hair out of the tub drain and proceeded to show me all the hair that came out of the tub , closet door was fixed, 1 vaccum taken out of the closet and a plumber came on the 3rd day to fix the bathroom drain, also on the 3rd day someone came and replaced the shower curtain. So our issues did get addresses, I feel like I should not have had to address these issues, they were quite noticeable just walking into the room.On a positive side, we had a great time! I did love that there is a washer and dryer in the room, the Murphy bed was very comfortable and the view is amazing.

Nice resort, room not so much

Check in seemed like overkill, instead of stopping at their office and check in with them, so they can call the resort to let them know we are checking in.. seemed like it would be way easier to just call booking agency and go to resort.. at agency there were no keys exchanged or anything so it seemed pointless. The room has a great view, the shower is nice, but furniture is old and outdated.. drawers fell off of a cabinet.. couch and chair were torn and looked like they were bought at goodwill. There was open boxes of food and candy in cabinets. There was black mold around two electrical outlets. And what possibly could have been blood on a wall.. the place was just very dirty overall, but no bugs. We chose to stay because there weren’t any other options and just took it as a learning experience and we will find another option next time.
