4. The Grove | East Ruston Cottages

Edingthorpe

"The Grove is perfect for me. It's on one floor, it is not too big, but very comfortable and cosy. To cap it all it has a lovely, large, fully enclosed rear garden with different areas to sit in so you can follow the sun or the shade at different times of the day. It's in a lovely rural location, a few minutues from Bacton Woods and only 5 minutes from the coast. My 3 toy poodles, one of which can be reactive, absolutely love it here. They fully relax, so therefore so can I. No hesitation in...

5. Rooster Barn | East Ruston Cottages

Trunch

"Nice property in a lovely, quaint village, 5 mins walk from village pub. Handy location for visiting other villages and beaches. Very well equipped with kitchen 'stuff' (including washing machine and pegs for the whirly), books, games, dvds etc. Plenty space to park right outside the barn in the garden. Looking rather tired inside and feel that quality of bedding and towels could be a lot better. That said, it was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay."

"Fab. Will stay again."

Scarborough Hill Country Inn

10/10 Excellent

"On arrival the young man was very friendly and helpful . For us the room we had was a bit small for 3 adults and there wasn’t enough storage space in the bathroom for toiletries but next time we will book the suite or the cottage . It wasn’t set up for 3 people either with drinks cups glasses or towels but once we asked they were put in our room straight away . We had tea and scones when we arrived which were delicious. We had evenings meals both evenings which were absolutely amazing. Both days breakfasts were brilliant too . The selection of food was beyond our expectations and the quality of the food especially our fillet steaks was outstanding. Our compliments to the chef . We look forward to staying there again ."

Seaview Cottage | East Ruston Cottages

10/10 Excellent

"We booked Seaview Cottage as a last minute seaside break. The quiet location was SPOT-ON for a reactive rescue, the garden was VERY SECURE (an absolute must) and the beach within walking distance. I've looked at this lovely cottage many times before however with just 2 of us and Mr. Erik, 4 bedrooms was much more than we needed, it was a very special treat and the late availability discount, on this occasion, made it possible!! The Cottage is well kept and very comfortable, the Kitchen (for a holiday let) was well equipped, most definitely a 'home from home' experience. As a 'Welcome Gift' Leonnie the Cottage Owner left the most AMAZING and delicious homemade cheesecake in the fridge for us to enjoy which was much appreciated and a lovely pudding for a couple of days! The weather was kind to us and the cottage VERY comfortable and relaxing, Mr. Erik had no trouble chilling that's for sure! And last but not least, the dog shower really made our holiday as I was able to give Mr. Erik his FIRST proper warm shower in 18 months which he both accepted and ENJOYED having previously been very scared of being bathed in the normal way!! Would have NO hesitation in recommending East Ruston Cottages and have done so many times before, Seaview Cottage gets 5 Stars from us and just PAWfect too! Thank you for a lovely stay, just what we all needed!"

Five Star SHACK (Short Breaks Available)

10/10 Excellent

"The Chalet was very comfortable, we had everything we needed. The little extras that the hosts gave us was appreciated. We loved that we could catch the Coasthopper bus and go to Cromer, Sherringham and beyond. The Tescos was only a short walk away.We would definitely recommend it."

Peaceful lakeside cottage close to the Broads and beaches

8/10 Good

"The setting of this holiday home is amazing, the view onto the lake will be unforgettable! Also the surprise of seeing the swans' entire family in the lake and sunset view will stay in our memories. The house itself is good, a bit in the 90s style, but very nice living room space and terrace. Bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The biggest downside was that hot water that was coming and going and many times we ended up with cold baths which was disappointing. Internet completely absent (no WiFi) and reception in general very poor so we were quite cut off from the world. Kitchen was lacking some essential tools like a colander, we have been provided with only 1 towel per person, only 1 toilet paper roll and 1 drop of washing up liquid, so on this side not very generous privision. Also the laundry room is outside the house and for drying they charge 1 per 15 minutes with coins, so essentially not usable.Overall happy, but there could be some improvements!"
