"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first.
Thanks for a great stay Jenna, nice to meet you 👍"

"Amazing what you can fit into a small space! Microwave and toaster are good for basic self catering, though we were glad that we had brought containers to cook in and our normal camping plates and cutlery. Location is very good, quiet and private, but with plenty to explore in the nearby area."

"I booked this hotel for its leisure facilities but unfortunately the pool gym sauna and other amenities were all closed on the day of my stay due to an issue. My bedroom door also didn’t lock at all and anyone could easily open it without a key card. I hadn’t realised this until the next morning and I probably wouldn’t have stayed if I had. The furniture was all very old and tiered looking worn and it desperately needed modernisation. Pillows were very uncomfortable and gave me a sore neck. I never moan at little things and try and resolve things directly but there was so many things wrong that it all really got to me."
"Great position close to city centre and on bus routes. Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate needs. Room clean, comfortable, well equipped. Pleasant area. We had a lovely stay there - thank you!"
"I arrived slightly ahead of time but my room was ready so I was able to go in. Very quick check in. Polite staff. Room was bigger than I anticipated for a solo stay. All good and would stay again if I'm out that way."
"The hotel was fine. It was clean and had everything I needed. The food was great and the staff were friendly. However, I was put in room 30 which is right next door to the fitness studio. There was dance music booming until 10pm then back on at 6:30 am. The music was so loud in the morning I could hear it while I was showering. This, along with the fire door outside my room banging all night meant I had a terrible sleep. When I booked Ithe room online, i stated I was there on business and feel strongly that I should have been put well away from the noise."
"Friendly and helpful staff.
Ideally located in centre of city short walking distances to all places of interest.
Excellent parking facilities at reasonable rates"
"We had a very enjoyable stay - excellent room facilities, breakfast, staff service and general amenity.
One query was not being able to include our ten nights on the IHG Rewards despite booking at an IHG hotel! As regular travellers this was disappointing.

"It was odd to enter a hotel and find a child playing computer games on reception. The lovely Italian gentleman soon appeared and checked us in and took us to our room. He was very helpful and welcoming.
We went straight down to dinner and were sat at a lovely table by the window overlooking the river. The chairs were completely shot with no seat support at all. I had to get a cushion to sit on but it wasn't much help.
The menu was amazing and the food was fantastic.
Unfortunately there's no blackout blinds or curtains. When we looked at the curtains they have black mould along the bottom of the lining. There's lights outside that shine up at the hotel however they also shine into the room at the side of the curtains so even during hours of darkness the room isn't dark. Once you get to 5am the room is flooded with light.
The mattress has seen better days and offered no support.
Our sleep therefore was very poor each of the two nights we stayed.
The decor is lovely and it's obvious the owner has a good business, some excellent staff and a fantastic chef, but if you have had a poor night's sleep in a hotel it's difficult to score it very highly as sleep is the point of a hotel.
The breakfast was excellent however the breakfast waitress, although clearly extremely capable and efficient, was somewhat brisk.
The second morning when waiting to be seated for breakfast we were ignored by the bar staff who went to serve some locals who arrived after us. The new lady was excellent."
