This is not a 4 star hotel, but great staff.

The hotel is in desperate need of renovation and update. The rooms and furniture is really like a 2 star. The hotel is not value for money. The staff is really nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the views from the restaurant is nice.

Great location on the beach with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Staff is friendly making our stay memorable. One issue was corrected immediately. We were able to take their awesome boat for a snorkeling tour. Recommend.

This place is fine. The beach is beautiful and the owner is accommodating. However, the rooms had an unusual smell that didn’t go away. The restaurant had a wide variety of food but none of the things we tried were great. Just passable. The pool was well kept and the security guards were great at keeping the solicitors away (there were constantly people approaching us on the beach but the guards kept them away on property). It was very difficult to get to the hotel but they do offer a shuttle from the airport that is a better price than the taxis.

Great hotel with one of best stretches of beach. The services are outstanding. Very nice and attentive staffs. The food also is one of the best. The spa massage is so good I booked twice. Everyone there is making sure we are happy. So will stay here again

The room was comfortable, everyone was friendly, the ocean views were remarkable, great swimming. - food was ok - pool was cloudy - ants around the pool - beach boys were a bother and annoying - the hotels and areas around this hotel were awful, run down, dirty Yogurt, cut up fruit, and granola will go a long way for a breakfast option.

It’s old , and generally low maintenance, pool is terrific and dirty. Breakfast ok, beach outside hotel is good, but much better 200 m further away. Not sure how you can defend 300 usd a day 😂👀 I do not recommend this hotel , only if your rate is a 100 usd a night

What a wonderful place. I wasn't too sure about the place when I drove through the gates, but I was soon more than pleased. A small, private beach, a great restaurant with a view of the ocean and not to mention the magnificent view of the sunset. Fantastic service. The rooms were a little dated, but that doesn't matter when the rest is so great. Just a part of the charm. Highly recommended.

We spent four nights at the hotel before staying at a large, expensive all-inclusive resort. After the all-inclusive, we came back to Double A, which we preferred. We enjoyed the personal service, being steps from the beach and the swimming pool that was shaded by beautiful flowering trees. The breakfasts which were included were excellent. The bartenders, chefs and waitstaff were all friendly and attentive.The dining area overlooks the ocean and the food was delicious. There is also a pool table that is free to use. Nungwi beach

The location is amazing. It’s a nice spot along a busy section of the beach. There is a small pool which is nice to have, and you get attention all the time. The staff is very friendly and often when I travel I end up befriending both locals and the hotel staff. I found new friends here too. I had most of my evening meals in the restaurant. But went out during the day.

I was impressed by the professionalism amd the servoce from the Manager and Staff. I encountered a problem becaise the description of the room (sea view) is misleading..The view was from the balcony and it was only a partial view. I had high expectations of being able to see the sea from my bed. That was definitely not possible. However, the dound of the ocean was a delight. I went to bed and arose with this soothing sound. The hotel os located on a womderful beach that os not too crowded.There is shopping and stores within walking distance of the hotel. You can walk the beach snd run into other hotels and bars. However, I discovered meals prepared by Double A were delicious. Please don't judge the food by the breakfast which was mediocre. Again, the staff did what they could to accommodate. Highly recommend this hidden GEM right on Nungwi beach hidden along with the other many hotel that are much more expensive and less personable. We easiley booked EXPEDIA all inclusive with airfare and breakfast, however they also have packages with other meal times. Their customer service when communicating or asking questions by email or WhatsApp was great. They have rooms on the ground floor and up 3 stories with beautiful views of the ocean or the gardens. Aprox. 60 min from Zanzibars internationl airport this hotel named Double A Nungwi Beach is gated and secure. You are greeted with smiling faces, cool hand towels that is refreshing, and handed a glass of tasted hibiscus juice. Ready for hotel tour and then shown to our room. Clean and always has hot water. Lovely decorated and the bed is displaying the beauty of their gardens. Astonishing views from the bar and restaurant and pool area. Inclusive breakfast was very good, with mutliple options to pick from. Eggs any way, waffels, freshly melt in your mouth warm donuts and pastries. Fruit, cheese and everything else breaksfast. The menu for lunch and dinner is expansive and you can tell Chef Rashid puts his passion into all of his meals he prepares. Food flavour is big for us and the way he prepared all of our dishes was palatable for a king and queen. There are also indian and vegetarian options. We felt very special with each bite we took. Was an absolutely amazing stay. I’d describe it as a 3.5-4 star hotel. Has all the ammenities and niceness to it that you want and a fantastic value. The foods delicious, the staff are the most amazing part. Will definitely be coming back

Relaxing stay in Nungwi

We had a very relaxing 6 nights at the Double A. The hotel is not the fanciest place in Nungwi, and could do with a little bit of a facelift, but the rooms we’re comfortable and very clean, and the staff were exceptional. We would definitely visit again.

Room air-conditioning was good , room was well ventilated, in bathroom some mould built jp on the ceiling. Electricity was cut off for short periods in the evenings. Not too many mosquitoes
